That’s just not true though
How so? They both have their strengths and weaknesses, but they've both lead our team to the playoffs quite early in their tenure.
That’s just not true though
Why can't we just agree that Romo was a terrific QB in his right, and Dak has been terrific for us in his own right? Romo's not flying out of the CBS booth to QB us. Dak is QB until we draft someone new.
Some people have a grudge. I hated seeing Landry get fired but I enjoyed those 3 Super Bowls...
Different chapters have new possibilities...
Maybe it's different for me since the best I've ever seen this team do is reach the divisional round, but I haven't got a grudge against either. I loved Romo when he QBed here, and I really like Dak as a QB.
Give it another Decade, or two....
This whole argument is very dumb. Til the day Romo and Dak die, everyone left alive in this thread will compare the two. Just leave it alone. Dak is our QB now rather you like it or not, and I don’t know how many times I have to say this: You can either sit down and complain about every thing he does wrong, or you can sit down and appreciate the fact that we have a competent, leader QB and look at his positives and enjoy the game. And enjoy the fact that we don’t have a QB like Blake Bortles. I’d take the latter.
We'll see haha. Hopefully, Dak will have led us to a Super Bowl title by then.
We have a 2-3 window, possibly more depending on drafting and coaching...
The Dak boyz love to trot out aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the excuses you can think of (e.g. “bad coaching, bad play calling, receivers suck, o-line sucks, defense didn’t do its part, et cetera”) when it comes to excusing him of any negative play.
However, when it comes to Romo they’re quick to saddle him alone with the blame.
They can all concur to kiss my butt!!! Lol!!!!You must be afraid to sleep with the fishes, but I tell you they all concur....
And gameday menus! We need somebody to post threads about coaching and Pro Bowls.. It’s a burden..
Look here dear boy, I do think it's stupid to saddle all the blame to Romo, but I also think it's stupid to bash Dak to prop up Romo. Romo did well when he was here, and I think Dak's done actually quite well overall.
There is more than two answers. People like you are doing the fanboy and girl thing in this case and trying to silence people not to complain at all. Most of his positives are off the field intangibles. This whole argument is very dumb. Til the day Romo and Dak die, everyone left alive in this thread will compare the two. Just leave it alone. Who’s propping up Romo?
I like Dak and I liked Romo, the Dak haters incite the Romo hate. I wish everyone would pull their heads outta their butts and remember who we are pulling for. If anyone wants to Dak to fail, then they are idiots and should go follow another team. I would hope that all cowboy fans would root for Dak. I dont like Garrett and I think he sucks, but I want to win.The Dak boyz love to trot out aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the excuses you can think of (e.g. “bad coaching, bad play calling, receivers suck, o-line sucks, defense didn’t do its part, et cetera”) when it comes to excusing him of any negative play.

Nobody that's just the lazy retort to have people not criticize Dak. Between that and some alluding to madness those are the top two lazy excuses for trying to limit criticism of Dak.Who’s propping up Romo?

Well if you're not trying to limit the criticism of Dak I guess I'm not talking about you. I'm not comparing the two and most people don't. Heck if you want to be truthful most people that bring up Romo are the super pro Dak crew. You need to reply to them instead of me because I don't think I've ever compared the two because I don't care. Dak is average as a QB on his own merits don't need comparisons to see that ever week.I'm not trying to limit the criticism of Dak. There are things that he gets criticised for, and I have agreed with it. I've even given him my share of critcism when I thought it was due. I did the same for Romo. Again, comparing the two is a useless thing to do as 1. They're not the same type of QB. It's a bit like comparing pears and apples. Yes, they're fruits and come from trees. However, they taste quite different. Similarly, Dak and Romo are not the same, nor do they have the same skillset. Romo was a gunslinger. As such, his criticism came from mistakes common to gunslingers. Dak's a bit more cautious with his approach and a bit more likely to check the ball down. Therefore, he's not as likely to be a gunslinger. I've said multiple times that Dak should trust his instincts and run more when he sees fit. It's a criticism I have of him. I think he tries too hard to be a pocket passer when that's not what he does. I think if he uses his feet more, then he'll be better off. However, that weakness has NOTHING to do with Romo, nor am I going to bring Romo up to make this point.
