PS4 vs Xbox One

Only problem I have with buying a PS4 is that I wont be able to play Forza 5. It's one of the only things holding me from making a final decision at this point, the other being that my friends play on Xbox Live. I wish they would switch over.

I had a 360 for more than three years. I never had a single issue with it. It was a great system. I never had any issues with my PS3 either.

I'll be honest and say that I believe that quite a few people experience these malfunctions and such due to the piss poor way they take care of their systems. Yeah, yeah, spare me the "Not my friend/family member" stuff. I don't need a personal account from each person trying to defend their position. It's just my opinion that if you likely looked into how people took care of their systems you'd find the answers to a whole lot of their issues.

As for a high failure rate with the Xbox, last I read they were reporting a 1%, which is right in line with the PS4 and pretty much any electronics. That's really not that big a deal, IMO.

Definitely not me, I take as good of care of my electronics as I possibly can. No scratches on discs, keep it standing with great air flow, keep dust from building up, and yada yada yada. I will say I have logged a lot more hours into my XBox than PS3, and I bought the XBox on launch. My first one broke in less than a year, but I was also playing Halo many hours at the time. It should be able to handle that though.

FIFA is the ONLY video game I like. I was hoping it wouldn't be that much of an upgrade on the next gen system so I wouldn't have to get one.

If you play Ultimate Team Seasons like I do then you know the 360 version cheats a lot and you lose a ton of games that you shouldn't.


I was 17 games below 500 on 360.. Got the Current Gen and now I'm 4 games above 500.

Games can still get Flukey sometimes but nothing like 360.

Also if I buy a 70k player they actually play like it.


The gameplay is also tremendously smoother.. It just feels really nice to dribble and pass.

I'm not that impressed with the xbone overall but the gameplay seems to be great and that's the main thing.

My PS3 just crapped out (yellow light) and hate that the PS4 isn't backwards compatable or I would have one by now. Still probably go with PS4 in the future due to the ugly direction of Microsoft but really hoped they would includ this feature with both systems. But honestly, either system looks suitable for my needs and would enjoy PS4 just because of Infamous, X1 for Titanfall if forced to go that direction.

I'm just wondering why Sony didn't launch Gran Turismo at the same time as the PS4. I know 6 just came out with the PS3. Polyphony has always been dragging when it comes to releasing GT

well I gave in and went ahead and ordered a PS4 since Amazon got some in stock.

I don't even know why at this point, really. Guess I'll upgrade Madden.

I had considered splurging and getting one of the systems before Christmas even though I really couldn't justify it. I used to buy all the systems new, but that stopped with PS3/Wii/360, but I still got them shortly after launch. This time, I still have a backlog of games to play, and there's nothing on new systems I'm interested in. Despite that, I was still thinking about it. That idea is out the window now. I had a surgery on Tuesday which I am paying over $13,000 for, but then I had complications which could have cost me my life and resulted in 2 ER visits, 2 ambulance rides, another emergency surgery to stop bleeding, and a 4 day stay in the hospital. I'm sure that's going to be a huge amount of debt I'll have to tackle, even after insurance, so either system just got pushed way the hell down the line. I hope you enjoy the PS4.

Appropriately, yesterday I got a letter in the mail from the IRS saying they expect a check by January 8th in the amount of...wait for it...literally the exact same dollar amount I just paid for my PS4. ***
