This sets up the Rusev Lana real engagement.

WWE NEWS: WWE ATTEMPTING TO BRING BACK FORMER WWE SUPERSTAR ALBERTO DEL RIO
OCTOBER 11, 2015
JOE BURGETT

WWE helped to create the star that was Alberto Del Rio over a period of about 5 years. He was used in a major way the moment he arrived on the main roster from FCW. He quickly became a Money in the Bank winner, as well as a WWE and World Heavyweight Champion. He also won a Royal Rumble. He actually won the largest in WWE history. Sadly, he was released over hitting a social media worker who was employed by the WWE at the time.

The guy allegedly made racist comments toward Del Rio, which made him very angry. When he told him to apologize, he refused and got hit. Del Rio got punished for it, but the social media guy got off pretty light. Eventually, WWE released the guy too, but they couldn’t at the time due to the assault charges that the guy could likely charge Del Rio and potentially WWE with if they cut them both or picked the side of Del Rio.

This made Del Rio go on a rant about how minorities are kept back and how racist WWE was toward him. However, if you look at what all he accomplished in WWE during his short tenure there, he has no room to talk about not getting used in big ways. WWE always wanted to bring him back, and truly never wanted him to go at all. Sadly, he and WWE got into a major ordeal over his contract, among other things, and the words exchanged just didn’t go well. So that meant a WWE return was out of the cards, right? Wrong!

I hope they do resign him. He's really good. It was a shame that he was let go in the first place.

As for Reigns....the rumors I've read have him winning the belt prior to WM, from Rollins, and then carrying the belt into WM where he will lose it to John Cena who would begin his record tying 16th reign at WrestleMania.

I will likely stop watching altogether if that happens. Good grief.......

I have a hard time understanding how John Cena could be tying a record IF that happens. All these years & great performers & he's won that many times?

no wonder people boo him.

Roman went over like a lead balloon the other night. He got alot of "boring" chants. Mean crowd.

He was the annointed one to win the belts at the last WM. WWE changed their minds because they didn't think he wasn't ready yet and needed another year. Well six months into that year and I see nothing different than a year ago. He's a one trick pony and awful on the mic.

Roman is kinda boring. His skills are limited to me although I do like that kick thing he does when the guy are on the ropes. Whatever good mojo he had was destroyed when he got hurt & was out.

That crowd was awful to him the other night. He handled that ok. And the Wyatt stuff with him seems like it will never end.

Well man we have to realize that at some point they're going to give John another run or two and let him break the record. The guy isn't anywhere near the age where he's going to be done. The guy clearly lives and breaths for the business so it can safely be assumed that he still be wrestling for another 10 or more years, provided he doesn't suffer some career ending injury.

So it's inevitable that this is going to happen.

Reigns is not good on the mic and that will kill him. It always does. I feel bad for him but there isn't really anything that can be done about it. He has to improve and he's just not showing the ability to be able to do that.

I know you are 100% correct but man is that depressing.

if Cena were not so charity minded in repping WWE he would not be anywhere close to setting a record for most championships. That's his reward I think.

he's far from being their best wrestler & I think that's why so many dislike him. He's kinda phony to me. In a made up profession where none of them are as they seem he still manages to be very phony IMO.

Another brutal article about the WWE...

"This has not been a good year ratings wise for WWE. Fans are tuning out in droves, leaving the company in lows not seen since the early 90's. Fortunately, the network has allowed WWE to earn record revenues, so they aren't in danger of going under anytime soon. Nonetheless, this is a very discouraging trend that needs to be addressed and reversed. WWE, I have to be completely upfront: Your television product is not good. There are flashes of goodness, but it is mostly mediocre. You'll take one step forward, then take seven steps back and never acknowledge that first step. And it's plain for us to see: Not everyone in your upper management is on board with the direction WWE should take, and it's killing the product. One person wants to keep everything homogeneous; the other wants to make major changes, and neither side is willing to compromise. As a result, this infighting has led to a creative impasse where status quo is god. Nothing changes, nothing grows, nothing matters. Wins and losses are traded like cards because neither person can afford to take losses, so really talented guys are held back while they watch part timers get inserted into spots meant for them. Last-minute booking leads to the show looking sloppy because everybody is rushing. A 48-year old man/demon from Hell/Director of Operations who has a 11-200 record over the past 2 years is fighting for the WWE Championship because there's no one else for Seth Rollins, the dumbest WWE Champion in history, to fight."

One of the suggestions made by the author is:

5.) Majority of matches involve clean finish, providing a payoff and closure to a feud.

Clean finishes? Whoa! Vince will never go for it!

it's so obvious to me that RAW is just too long!

Seth is not dumb! Boo to that remark. He's written horribly. He could do whatever they asked him to do so I'm not sure why they treat him that way.

and oh I don't know but maybe don't put Kane of all people in a title bout.
