Jerry and Gregory. Neither will change their ways and learn from mistakes. This is ultimatly on the team for wasting another second rounder.

Nothing good ever happens to us. NOTHING.

Well I agree...minus five times....or watching Emmitt run...or Tony D..run......but minus that and most Sundays.....lol....but I feel your pain. I am ready for someone to cut loose the druggies and move on. They can get help on their own...and I wish them well.

So, with today's news - without starting a draft thread. Before training camp starts ...
First 2 rounds next draft have to be CB and DE in any order I would guess. Although the thought of another 2nd round DE is enough to make my stomach curdle. The more things change, the more they stay the same !

We waste a lot of picks. That goes unnoticed when everyone's tongue bathing Will McClay and pretending he's running the show.

There are two fatal flaws with this team. 1) The Owner/GM doesn't respect his head coaches and 2) they lack a personnel guru at the top to consistently supplement the roster with talent.

If you want to enjoy a Cowboys draft you pretty much have to tune out after the first pick. Picks are traded for no return like they're freebies (we got comp picks). 2nd round draft choices are treated like we're just trying to strike oil. We're busy in the 6th and 7th rounds drafting priority free agents that we're afraid to compete for.

This team is so woefully mismanaged it's beyond words.

Uh yeah, today we lost a crappy backup OT to retirement, and we signed another crappy backup OT! Great news!!! ;)

I was really looking forward to this season. The last few days make me feel like its better when football isn't in season at this point. I don't even want to know whats going to happen next.

Tony Romo and Jason Witten have put their bodies through crap that they will pay for as they get older and the organization can't even run the team competently. Everyday we hear about how much that dumb star costs and this is what this organization is always occupied with.

Its a real bummer. I really don't think I will be a season ticket holder after Romo and Witten retire.

His football career is most likely over, barring a miracle.

It's a shame, because he's got great talent. Hopefully he can figure out his issues, because regardless of whether it's football or not, he'll need to clean himself up to live a functional life.

3) Elsewhere the GM is held accountable for personnel errors. Not in Dallas. In Dallas it gets a "man in the mirror" comment and nightly screaming into his pillow, like it matters in the long run.

I have talked to so many people about this exact situation and most agree with me when I question the mental capacity of any athlete who is paid the money they do but yet still use.....

I am ok with first time offenders getting only 4 games, but if they get caught again.... They should just be banned from the sport. Just stupid.

If you are one that believes weed is harmless and should be legal, I don't care. This is a huge problem with society today, but law is law. When you sign a contract, you are agreeing to abide by the rules of that contact. There is no complaining or changing then after the fact.

It is that lack of respect for rules that let's these players think they can risk breaking them. Players being thrown out on there behinds will tell future athletes that this is serious.

Anyways, off my soap box

Hindsight is always 20/20...but I sure wish they were able to land my two favorite guys last offseason; Jabaal Sheard in free agency and Danielle Hunter in the draft.

Even without Lawrence, Sheard could've started at LDE & Hunter at RDE. Hopefully one or two of the young guys can step up (Mayowa, Irving, Tapper, Russell).

Wish Gregory the best as he just had a baby, for his own long-term prospects/health, etc. That said, not sure he see's much (if any), time with the Cowboys at this point. The young man simply has some serious issues...testing positive at the combine, failing multiple tests leading to a suspension, failing another test while on suspension, etc. Certainly not looking good.

Wonder if they'll begin to look for potential trade options?
