This is a faulty argument. Not only does every team face these problems but all employers everywhere do. They knew there were risks. But you and others act as if it's over with for him on this team. It may be the beginning of the end but no one knows that. Showing concern and even bemoaning taking a risky player is certainly reasonable but throwing in the towel is not.
The issue to me is not throwing in the towel.
Its more about how this franchise is lead.
I have just about hit a limit with what this team does.
Nobody seems to be able to make anything more than a financial decision rather than football decision.
We are constantly drafting and signing guys that have dropped in the draft in order to gain some perceived upvalue only to see the pick fall even further when we get them.
Guys like TO, Josh Brent, Bennett, Ratliff, Carpenter, Claiborne, Carr, Hardy and so many others are so completely incorrectly fitted to this team we just can't succeed.
I won't go into the complete disconnect over letting Murray go and instead having a Merry-Go-Round for the RB position last year.
Or the QB fiasco. Weeden, Casell, whomever?
Its just gotten beyond belief.
2014 was obviously a fluke.
And the fans just seem to get a new dish of humble pie each year while Jerrah rakes the money in over his stadium cash cow.
Football in Dallas is an embarrasment.
We all know it.
I'll always be a Cowboys fan but I have pretty much lost my zest for watching this franchise continue to alibi and throw up it's hand and wait for next year.
Sorry.
