Said it when Lovie Smith was fired. I would take Leslie Frazier.

Didn't even see Lovie get canned. I'd make him assistant Head Coach in a heartbeat and pay Frazier a fistful to be the secondary coach. You can't tell me that the gang wouldn't want to be back together. I always thought Frazier was an incredibly underrated DC.

As far as your other reply. He shouldn't have been involved in the decision making process, if he was, but he's set a precedent of developing talent and coaching one of the better secondaries in the NFL. We'll just agree to disagree.

Kind of odd many want to dump Dooley for not "developing" the Williams, Street and Butlers of the roster but then feel bad for Henderson who had a wealth of resources devoted to him.

I just do not think Lovie Smith would take second fiddle, no matter how much he and Marinelli are buddies.

If he was open to it, it would be fine with me. Bring Frazier too.

Then he could be a great interim coach at some time in 2016.

It is kind of shocking that we got players off the street like Sterling Moore, Mitchell and Olatoye that actually made plays.

Were they coached into them? Or were they all just too new to have had their instincts as DBs coached out of them?

To me, DB coaches and WR coaches are pretty important. They deal with the same kind of personalities in the phase of the game that is pretty significant.

I have read that Henderson is very demanding. Sometimes you can coach out instincts.

This is what I have been saying for years. When young cornerbacks come in, they tend to do better because they are playing more off instinct than coaching. Once the coaches have time with them to "fix" them, it seems the cornerbacks play games of chase the rest of their time here.

Zero problems with Wilson staying as that is Romo's call. Whomever they bring, I hope they get a DB coach who has a different philosophy with schemes and techniques. No more same old.

Low priced, zone corners who have instincts. No more "next Deions".

Yea, I'm not advocating signing Sean Smith, but KC got a real deal in him. Paid him between $5-$6million over the life of his deal and got better than they were expecting performance (although playing with Houston and Hali helps). I don't want Sean Smith because he will cost too much, but let's get a guy that will cost about as much as KC paid who actually fits our scheme.

My brother is a die hard Dolphins' fan. He told me earlier that they are likely to sign CIncy's DC once he is available. So I told him how I've always admired the job he's done and how well he rejuvenated guys like TNew. Told him I loved how his DBs played. As soon as the Jerome Henderson news broke I called him to let him know that whatever good was done for the DBs by hiring Cincy's DC was just undone.

I wish Henderson well cause I never want to see a man lose his job, but I'm glad we are starting anew.
