At fault for the accident or not, he's a) an idiot for not wearing a helmet and b) is likely violating the terms of his contract by riding in the first place.

They can, and on this subject they would be right. I have a wife and 2 kids.

I can't explain it. There's something about the freedom of the wind in your hair.

You have to have long hair for that to count.

Unless you are talking about bushy eyebrows and hair growing out of your ears.:p:

On a serious note, I learned long ago that motorcycles were not for me.

I was always wrecking as a youngster.

Now it would have to be a motorcyle with a side care before I would even consider getting one.:laugh1:

i know a family friend - wife and 2 young kids - can't move without a weelchair for the past 5 years since he broke his back on a motorcycle and is paralyzed from the chest down (of course everyone alwys told him to stop riding and now he has). :(

Well, you know it's moronic.

I think it's inexcusable to put your life at such a risk.
My wife agrees with you, and in truth I do too. When I am going to go for a ride in the mountains and she's not around, I'll leave the helmet. It's wrong, and I know it is. I still do it.

No matter how good a rider you are, you have no idea how good the driver who hits you might be. I'm a damn good rider, but I can't control the other vehicles.

Oh yeah? Is it really relevant that it was a woman driving?

I could give a crap either way. Hows that?

I learn something new everyday, but seriously too, wear a helmet, who's going to bash HH and bring up memories of 30 yard slants if you're gone?

Wind in your hair for paralyzed, mamed, or dead.

Sounds like a bad trade to me.

I'd imagine it would be closed casket.

Wife and I have been considering a bike for a couple of years, now. The more I hear about stuff like this the more I'm not so inclined. Motorcycle accidents seem to be on an average way more frequent than your typical auto accident and the injuries much more severe (helmet or not). They are hard to see, by drivers, and riders tend to take more risks weaving in and out of traffic. I live in a small town, so the driving isn't as hectic, but no way would I ride in a city like Phoenix or L.A. People drive like ***holes in large cities and motorcycle is just a speed bump to some of those jerks (especially in Phoenix).

As soon as I get home, I am going to launch up a quick game of Madden and run a 30 yard slant with Owens.

Romo will be my QB, since he is our future QB.

And I will have Barber as my starter, since Jones always gets injured.

I will trade Newman for Hall.

And Roy for Troy P.

I think that covers all the basics.

you forgot downgrade Roy's tackling from a 98 to a 75, and coverage ability to 2

The witness said she saw the accident and went over to help but did not recognize Roethlisberger. When she asked him what his name was, she said he replied, "Ben."

The woman added that Roethlisberger asked her a series of questions, including where he was and what state he was in. He attempted to stand up but the woman said she encouraged him not to move until paramedics arrived.

I suspect its not the number of bike accidents that gets attention, but the fact that any bike accident can end up being a serious one. Something that in a car doesn't do much damage can end up doing serious damage to the person on a bike.

Its not something I would do, but know some people love the things. But I just can't understand the people who ride them with little clothing and no helmet on. A busted skull and a serious case of road rash sounds like a horrible way to spend a month or two.
