I don't want to see Romo wearing any other teams Jersey next year.

Im not sure he can put the fire of competition out so he must either believe he will start again for us or he will end up in Denver or somewhere next year that is a QB away from a superbowl.

My favorite cowboy ever. It would make a superbowl bitter sweet if he has to watch from the sidelines.

The one thing I don't like about this is, if Tom Brady was lost to injury for a temporary time period, and there was a rookie that was playing comparable to Dak on the Pats, Brady wouldn't lose his job.

Yeah because Romo has 4 Super Bowl rings and 6 Super Bowl appearances, great comparison.

Very wrong, come on dude. If you said that about Romo all heck would break loose on this board.
Idgit's always cracking with people's heads for his amusement. Doubt he was fully serious.

I can't believe some people are pissed at Tony for this.
People have acted strangely about anything concerning Romo for too many years. My thing is that Jerry Jones could have done one of his super-duper I got the NFL on speed-dial, press conferences first and then yielded the floor to Romo and his official statement. Regardless, my respect for Romo has shot through the stratosphere this afternoon. Ladies and gentlemen, that was a MAN standing up in front of the world. And he makes a number of his critics look tiny in comparison.

Romo isn't Brady and Brady doesn't have the injury history Romo has.

If this happened last season after 2014, Romo don't lose his job but as he said, back to back seasons injured and mid 30s don't add up.

Guys, if you're not at the office, and have NFLN, they are about to show his whole conference in its entirety.
I just saw it and wow he's handling this with class and grace in essence he's willing to allow Dak to remain the starting QB regardless how healthy he is Tony will always be one of my favorite Cowboys of all time and watch how many classless people on social media make fun of his passionate speech it will be sheer idiocy thank you Tony for putting the team first.

Tony is a class guy. That is something that has never been disputed. I am proud that he was our QB. I wish things could have been different. The guy deserves a SB title. It's unfair that Eli has 2 and Tony doesn't even have one. Saying that I am happy we have found our future QB and I am sure Tony will help Dak whenever possible.

Again , you don't have to believe or like every player on our team but you do have to be a fan of them.

lol i think it is the definition of the word fan.

i am a fan of the team.
tony frustrated me greatly with mistakes, so i have not been a fan.
though this press conference made me like him because it was all class.

i was definitely not a fan of hardy and definitely not a fan of gregory.
i am not a fan of TWill because of all his idiocy.

Teams wins Super Bowls, not players.

It's actually a valid comparison, because it's on a player by player basis, and isn't inclusive of considering coaching, strength of schedule for all they years the Pats won, nor the cheating of Spygate.

Agreed. My respect for Tony found a way to be higher than it already was after today. He did the right thing, and I can't imagine it wasn't an extremely hard thing to do.
