Roy is still the best WR on the team

That's all that matters. I believe he is too and that we'll see it soon. I just don't care for the "Roy sucks" crowd and people trying to put all the blame on him.

I don't think I belong in that crowd. I don't think he sucks. I just think he hasn't produced at the level he should be, and that he needs to start, or we need to start looking elsewhere.

...and I don't think Romo is without some blame. I've taken note of the bad throws in Roy's direction, but when Romo's bad throws all seem to be directed at the same receiver, I start to get the feeling it has something to do with the receiver.

I hope they get it figured out. They're tardy at this point, and at some point being tardy will just turn into an absence.

If you haven't partaken in a RW11 *****-fest thread, you must not have been paying attention the last 8 weeks. BTW, I'm allowed to have an opinion, too. Who are you, trying to squelch free speech anyways... a mod?

I'm not a mod, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express.

I would love to go three days without a RW is a peice of garbage thread.

Maybe if RW wasn't putting out garbage there wouldn't be a need for it.

He does such a stellar job though.

Uh... no.

Its pretty clear Austin is ahead of Roy right now.

And I'm still a Roy fan.

he's lazy, doesnt run sharp crisp patters, doesnt get off the ball well

he's great at routes he doesnt have to cut hard and at fades. has great hands although he hasnt shown it all that much and can be a great chain mover.

does have the speed to take it to the house if given the opportunity.

sounds like a #2 to me. austin can do everything roy does and more. sounds like a developing #1 to me.

Its a good thing we don't have Owens on the team.

Can you imagine having to start Owens and Roy Williams (whose combined stats don't equal Austin's...)

We'd be sunk for sure.

Bleu made a great point in another thread. When Romo stopped forcing the ball to certain WRs, his INTs dropped.

Imagine if we had Owens on the team. Romo would have to force the ball to the overrated T.Old and the INTs would be off the chart.

yay

Cute... but not applicable... Romo no longer has to press because the true #1 WR is often where he is supposed to be when he is supposed to be there. No thanks to Roy AKA the draft pick gobbling 45 million dollar man.

Hopefully Roy gets it together. He only had the 2nd half of last year, the first half of this year, and let's not forget those many professed moments he enjoyed in the off-season with his QB. I won't hold my breath on that though.

You mean like last season?

Um.... yes?

Sorry, missed the sarcasm earlier. Hard to tell these day with all the wacky stuff thrown out there by our fellow fans.

I understand. I also understand I am feeding the frenzy by responding but the RW story at this point is like :horse: .

Lets move on to :eagles:

They need to make Roy the 2nd or 3rd read for Romo, that way the guy will have already picked the direction he's going to run and Romo won't have to guess.

:eek::

Where is this Roy E. been and can he please show up on Sundays

All the experts and such are saying we are running him on the wrong routes...you know, routes where you have to cut or change direction or do anything but run a straight line. We should have Roy just run straight lines....Well, except for the slant; he may stop on the slant. Straight lines but limit the slants. What does that leave?

the 10 yard or 30 yard slant?:D

I think the 30 yard slant may be his best route. Let's try it?

Now that I think about it, maybe Roy went to the same football clinic the 30 yard slant guy went to. That would explain a lot of things.
