We let Glover go - is that a reflection on Glover, or on his fit for our team?

the Saints cut Glover because they had to get under the cap, not the case in this situation
:confused::confused::confused: Slow down summer.:)

just give me one game where Dwight looked like a good player

How's this:

vs Chicago

3 Tackles

1 Sack

1 INT

1 Forced Fumble

Sounds like a good day to me?

Now you give me 1 for Keith Davis?

but not from us

That's a pretty premature assumption.

Considering our projected starter just caught two slugs driving around at 5 AM last weekend , I wouldn't be so quick to assume that we're out of the FS market.

if it's issues about his character, and not his play, why would we sign him?

You asked for one game, you got one and now you're sneering because you were proven wrong.

Why are you flooding what could otherwise be a productive thread for the rest of us just because you've backed yourself into a corner and refuse to backdown?

You can't handle the facts?

Run along and hide then.

Now give me that game for Keith Davis?

We shouldn't sign him if we're concerned about his character or if he has a couple of strikes in the substance abuse system of something like that.

However, assuming he checks out, I don't see why we wouldn't take a good hard look at him. His coverage skills are very strong for a FS... he's really a corner.

I can't see why you think we shouldn't summer. BTW, I typically agree with your views, but I don't here.

More flame from KC Joyner's chat today :)

-------------

KJ, Baltimore: KC- Why did the Saints cut Dwight Smith. He seemed like he had a good season last year?

KC Joyner: (4:19 PM ET ) To be perfectly blunt, he had a terrible season. He had to move to strong safety after Bellamy got hurt. He didn't adjust well to the new position and ranked dead last among strong safeties in a large number of categories. Add to this that Josh Bullocks did so well at FS and he ended up being an overpriced backup.

More importantly, why are you flooding an entire thread that could be informative and productive for the rest of us just because you have some ego at stake since you've backed yourself into a corner and can't back down.

JMHO... there will be alot of FS and SS on the market before the start of tthe season... the draft was deep at this position and as teams find out who can play and who cant... plenty more where Smith came from!

so if Coleman/Davis cant play Bill will have options!

but with Smiths salary I would think he would be a nice waiver claim!!!

I just want to know, if his talent isn't good enough to go with his character, which looks like it since the Saints have released him, why do you guys want him?

The new position can't be discounted, I don't think. But this is something...
