cause i like to see you giggle. it "moves" me.

for the terminally slow - who here heard of kosier before we got him? not many. davis was a high pick and still has potential. will he pan out? dunno. but i feel he's got a better chance than kosier. sorry that bugs ya.
So now qualifications for being a good move are predicated on whether or not you've "heard" of the player?

Sorry Charlie, play on the field means much more to me. and I don't care so much WHO brought them in.

Your stance on whether each pick was acceptable just amuses me. Anytime I see contradictions in a single post it's a funny day.

I saw that, but it was a vague reference

can I see the link?
Sure. His dad's name here was Pittdawg. Use the find posts by function and dig a little.

I heard the exact same thing he did from a different source.

About the only guy that liked the Fabini signing was Junk... Most of the rest of us knew the guy was a stiff. :)

Mostly because I don't get my marching orders on what to care about from anyone. I know that usually chaps some peoples butts, but I can't help it. Call me non conformist. When I don't want a player (Fabini) and he is waived without ever contributing it makes me a little pissy. See Marcellus Wiley for reference. It is why I don't understand Commanders fans glee at getting a 6th rounder for Archuleta.
I think the overwhelming position, particularly on this message board, was that cutting Petitti for Fabini was a bad idea. A lot of people were upset. There were some pretty harry threads on the topic. So, maybe, the "non-conformist" position was to have preferred Fabini.

It might be the case that Parcells once thought he had potential, but after getting a year-long up close look, he decided otherwise. Seems pretty reasonable considering the absolutely dreadful performance he put up in 2006, rookie or not.

So Parcells gets credit for a veto over all of the coaches for decisions we disagree but doesn't get any credit for decisions we agree with. Mmmmmmmkay.

didn't parcells NOT listen to the coaching staff on rogers and/or peterson? can't remember which one.

in the end you can defend parcells all you want, but he made more bad decisions on the line than good ones. BUT he did make both good and bad.

happy?

It's called age and upside. I never liked the fabini signing. Go back and look if you doubt me. I wanted nothing to do with him at all.

True. You hated it. I hated it.

you amuse easily.

i don't discount play on the field and i DID NOT say "gosh, i heard of him so he must be better" as my sole motivation for liking the davis signing. he wasn't the 1st one i wanted but he's got more potential than some detroit sleeper.

could kosier step up and be our next OL stud? sure. hope he does. but i think davis has a better chance at it than kosier.

giggle away. it looks good on you.

Right on. Who ever heard of this Brian Waters guy when he came into the league? Offensive lines around the league are littered with guys who came out of no where to become valuable starters.

The issue I always had with Parcells/Sparano is that for too long it seemed like they didn't have a clear philosophy in what they wanted in a player. Once they finally decided to settle on something (mobile, athletic interior linemen), they did alright with Kosier. Rivera, Procter, Berger, etc. all meet that mold.

Now they seem to have switched gears again and bring in a mauler like Davis.

Good offensive lines are built by coaching and continuity. Not high draft picks or high priced free agents. Look around the league and it is easy to verify.

I didn't care that we signed him, and didn't equally care when we released him, or any of the number of players where much wasn't expected from them

To recap - Arizona castoff, okay

Detroit castoff, not okay. Despite a huge improvement at our RG play last year.

One dismal team's castoff is viewed as superior to another dismal team's castoff....I wonder why?

Oh, that's right. Because it's not rational with some people regarding Parcells. It's personal.

Ridiculous...

InmanRoshi liked it too. I remember because it was about the only thing in my history of posting I have ever agreed with him upon. :laugh2:

Either way, he still was good enough to beat out Petitti while being banged up through most of camp.

We did.

Only we thought he was a TE. :D oops.

True story. No matter WHO brings them in. :laugh2:

I did a break down last year of the league's best Olines, where they were picked, how long they had eben together, to see what was most important. Clearly continuity was it. I'm sure that still holds true with the dominant lines of last saeson.

I am not talking about anyone else. I did not want Fabini. In fact I was dead opposed to it. It had nothing to do with Rob Petitti.

I am always in favor of getting better at a position, regardless of whether I like the player there or not. I once had a friend who was on the team. We replaced him with a better option. I was thrilled. I felt bad for my friend. Life goes on.

Parcells worst moves were blowing second rounders on Al Johnson and Jacob Rogers. Other than that he did wonders rescuing inconsistent yet talented guys like Adams & Gurode who almost everybody wanted out of town. Kosier & Colombo weren't bad finds either.

That's a pretty fair statement. I liked Gurode, but many were down on him before last year. Adams is a good point. I wasn't too jazzed about Kosier and am still skeptical, but he was okay. I was just pissed about LA being waived as he is one of my all time favorite players.

Mister Jerry Jones no his talents. And he cut Fabini loose like he a big number two. And then old senility Gibbs say he gonna picks him up for true. Stupidness suckers they are!!

Even better check out Fabinis statesticals over at NFL.com right hear.... http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/12356

He dont not got no strong playings on the record. Just a bunches of zeroes-- zeroe sacks, zeroe intercepts, zeroe tds, and zeroe passes defensed!!

Ha har hee!!

Yet money grub Snyder open up his checkings accounts to pay wild moneys like he has found him some pretty good smelling hi class tipes tricking theyselves on Division street behind the bowling alley.

What a losing bunch them Deadskin is now an will be always forever!
