I suspect if that was your sister or your mom you would feel differently about it. Reaching over and pulling down a woman's top doesn't even belong in the same conversation as a speeding ticket. What happens all the time is women grab their own shirt and flash people. And as far as I'm concerned that is not an issue in the least. But when another man reaches over and exposes a woman, that could have been framed as rape. Was it? No...but had it not been on camera, with the right twist of context a good lawyer could milk millions out of Zeke for that stupid, stupid decision. Don't get me wrong, I truly do hope they don't suspend him, but I won't be surprised.
If they suspend him for #tittygate I'm fine with it. If they suspend him for that domestic abuse I am 100% not fine with it and i would go crazy if I was Jerry.

Have you ever BEEN to a Mardi Gras? I went once and it blew my mind. The things that went on right there in public....
Which is WHY no one but people like you are talking about it now. What Zeke did was SO TAME its laughable.

True but then again Zeke needs to be careful. There are people woman included who look for big paydays. A woman exposing herself is one thing but say for instance this woman wanted to get an easy pay day out of this, all she has to do is report it that Zeke pulled her top down against her will and it is an easy pay day and Zeke pays the consequences both in terms of money and scrutiny from the league

I just want Zeke to be more careful of what he does. In this instance nothing came of it the next time who knows. Believe or not men have been charged with Sexual Harassment\assault in cases like that

I try to avoid any program or network he is affiliated for that matter.

How people watch him, Stephen Smith, Bayless, is beyond me. Unless you are a masochist and get off to nails on a chalk board, I don't get it.
Watching/listening to 99% of ESPN and all that you specifically mentioned is a total waste of time in my book.

I truly hope you are right!
I hope I'm wrong about next season but the guys that have been repeat offenders tend to either continue that behavior or grow out of it. Unfortunately Zeke fits that pattern.

Shannon and Bayless aren't on ESPN. I despise that network. Fox Sports isn't nearly as bad. I'm glad they are mostly NFC games. IMO, they do have the best football broadcasting team... Although Jim Nantz and Tony Romo at CBS I'm sure will be a good team too.

He completely ignores the fact that Zeke hasn't been charged with a crime and it is a he said, she said situation where she has changed her story a few times.

To me that is more important than Rodger irking off owners.

I think it is more about not wanting to tick off all the special interest groups again, and show the NFL won't tolerate domestic violence.

He treats every case like a video might drop later and that is a horrible way to operate

He got burned on Ray Rice because he had no spine and flip-flopped...... the Courts eventually ruled that the initial 2 game suspension was all they could do and was the correct decision...... the Ravens had to pay RRice his whole salary after they fired him for something already covered by the CBA

EE has no smoking gun......just say at this time we don't have any hard evidence to proceed..... if something comes out later they are covered by having done their best to be thorough

This logic is bogus tbh. You can't compare your actual family for some random person imo because the connection isn't there. People just use that to justify their views and or go with the sympathy play. People in general don't care about random people as much as they claim. I'm pretty sure we could both find things to co sign that. With that being said even if it was my female family member I'd be more embarrassed about it than mad. As long as that's what she wants and it wasn't forced I can be but so upset. I've done things with other people's female relatives that I'm sure they might not want to know about and vice versa but we are all adults and if there is consistent it is what it is.

I am curious:

Did you just see my comment and respond to it, or have you been following the conversation for awhile and chose to respond to just this comment?

I ask, because your response kinda misses the point of the entire conversation. The question is does the league have enough of a reason to suspend Zeke at this point? Personally, I really have no idea, but my point has been since the beginning is that I wouldn't be surprised.

As a result of that stance, I have come under fire; some suggesting I'm overly-concerned about the incident where Zeke reached over and pulled down a female's top whilst on camera. There argument has been that in that type of environment that sort of thing happens all the time and should be overlooked. My retort was simply that woman pull there top's down, not other guys. When other guy's do it, dependent on the female and their relationship, bad things tend to follow. Overall it wasn't a good look for Zeke, and by extension, the NFL at large.

The only reason I brought family into it is because the guy I was responding to was attempting to make light of it. As a father, I don't take that act lightly in the least. If you are not father, you do not understand...nor do I expect you to.

It's reached the point of absurdity. What is the league waiting for?

The league needs to announce its decision. Now.

Presumably, they are delaying as to not interfere with Hall of Fame week, which is okay I guess. Who wants a total screw job to be blown up during a week of what is supposed to be pageantry and celebration. Especially with Jones getting elected.

Another week is really not going to matter at this stage.

I would think Zeke and the coaching staff would like to know now so they can prepare accordingly. Decisions like this shouldn't be done with marketing in mind.

Pacman, with multiple arrests and suspensions, only got one game to start the season.

Elliott has no past record or suspension.
Just dont see him getting a game here.

You're not curious at all because you know the answer. Let's not do the I miss the point because you don't agree troupe. Obviously I'm responding to your post so that "point" that I was making doesn't change. Not only that but you then use another tired troupe of you don't understand but you didn't mention just children you said female family members my friend. Don't try to switch it up now to benefit you on the you're not a parent angle after clearly saying female family members when mentioning moms and sisters.

Now I do agree its not the greatest look when everybody wants to be mr/ms morality but I'm not going to act like its all that bad unless the person in question thinks that way. I also only think haters, bitter people, and also people who often times end up being some type of (ist) do the whole well person X did __________ and it reflects on the whole league, race, gender, religion, etc. There is no monolith my friend no matter what we are talking about. One person can't make the whole look bad that's real crazy thinking.

Part of the problem with talking to a person via blog or other written form is the lack of body language. Given the language you employed (such as "my friend" "crazy thinking" "some kind of ist" "tired troupe") I take it this topic means more to you than me... especially on Friday night. So in an effort to settle this peacefully, let me ask you this:

What if it was you? How would you feel if some famous person pulled down your pants (underwear in tow) with cameras watching...and then the next day you saw it on TMZ? And what if, because of who did it, it becomes a national story? And what if there's an unedited version of the film online? And what if a lawyer contacts you and explains he can make you millions if you sue? Would you? Because while most won't admit it, a good portion of the people out there would.

And all of the above was rhetorical.

Have a good weekend.

Your description of events does not do justice to what actually happened with this young lady and Zeke. They know each other, have interacted quite a bit and he knew she would not mind so much what he did. She has not complained and will not complain. So your diatribe seems to be a bit out of context.

Take it easy on me jday... go.

I am only trying to frame it in a context where people understand the NFL could view it as something punishable in the form of suspension. The fact that she is fine with it is irrelevant to the conversation because that permission came after the fact...and is further supported by the fact that she quickly covered up following his pulling it down. Furthermore, the NFL could argue, as a "role model," we don't want kids going around pulling down tops.

Please keep in mind, mrtxstar, I'm playing devil's advocate here. I don't want Zeke to get suspended, but I do recognize it's a possibility, dependent on how the league chooses to view it.

I'm playing devil's advocate to your devil's advocate because I just enjoy messing with you. His relationship to her is absolutely relevant. He did not and would not do this to a stranger, he did it to someone he had enough familiarity with that he knew how she would react and feel about it afterwards. That knowledge came before the fact not after. He would not do this to someone that he did not have this familiarity with. Of course she immediately pulled her top back up... I know a few woman that have no problem flashing their top in public but don't want to walk around topless. Kids have been going around pulling down tops as long as there have been tops to pull down, don't blame that on EE. It's not like EE has a Public Service Announcement on TV telling kids how to get away with pulling tops down... "the more you know".
