Looking for good things from him this year.Schoonmaker has gone through some changes this offseason.

Sure: blow up the C and give easy lanes for the LB and make it unguardable on drop backs.Does Mazi even have a role?
That AAgap scheme has 2 LBs in the A gaps.
Round is a shape. It’s “best shape of my life” season, folks.
Not surprising Schoonmaker’s name came up in a thread about Mazi. Both were epic disappointments. It was a swing and a miss with both at least as rookies.Schoonmaker has gone through some changes this offseason.
I totally agree ,Dallas needs good DT play.To be a successful defense , this LB group will be lethal if they have a dominating force at the nose tackle position.I am excited to watch him this year. We need him this year.

I look for Zimmer to have this defense playing well , he will get the best out of these players.Well, yeah, and the best thing to help a LB group is to give them a good NT.
T-shirt fan. What do you expectRound is a shape.
Is "blob-like" a shape? Or more of an adjective?
How do you know this?Hankins > Mazi.
Thank you!Sure: blow up the C and give easy lanes for the LB and make it unguardable on drop backs.
You are talking about a blitz look that Zimm likes to use. That does not mean the nose tackle disappears.

Exactly. He’s never gonna be a big stat guy because he’s never gonna be a big pass rusher. But he can impact the game by just plugging the middle and pushing the pocket. I’m hoping he can develop into a solid NT but he lacks quickness off the snap and if that does improve he’s gonna have to really improve his technique. He’s big, strong and athletic but he’s slow off the snap. Hopefully some of that was just not knowing the position wellThis and their impact don't show in stats sometimes...........
He’s a guy like many who are better as a DC or OC than a HC. To me quinn is the same but we will see how he does. One thing I like about his scheme is constantly showing pressure even if they don’t pressure. This makes the oline think and slows them down. This should help the edge guysI agree, and, for his flaws with the Vikings, one area he excelled at was the defence. Especially at Lb and Dline (especially LB). His DBs benefitted greatly from the pressure, and they could stop the run nicely. Now that he's back to being a DC. He can focus on that here.
I think/hope we can correct some of this by making sure he understands what's expected of him. I mean are you asking him to clog the middle to free LBers, rush the QB or play the run? The bottom line is he's a first-round pick who should have a little more impact than what we have seen so far. Hopefully, Zimm can get him on the right track.he lacks quickness off the snap and if that does improve he’s gonna have to really improve his technique. Welcome back trash can full of dirt!Mazi’s listed at 6’3” 337lbs. Hopefully he’s back to that playing weight.
Quickest short line strengths...size dominated.Quinn’s defense was all about pressuring the QB. He wanted Mazi to lose weight to improve his pass rushing abilities.
