Jerry is the coach. Steven is the asst head coach. I thought we all knew that already?

And Stevie appears ready to step in to full responsibility at any point daddy might lapse.

The trade up for Claiborne is the kind of thing that gets general managers fired.

But I guess so is a one for Roy Williams, two ones for Joey Galloway.

Scott piloi is just hanging out working on tv, bill cowher just hanging out working on tv.

Not that they are great but I think they are competent and would be better but we will never know.

Stephen on KRLD, says more than Dez an Witten need to make plays. Says Romo ought to give Dez chances even on double coverage.

Owner's son publicly advising his QB to throw into double coverage. Happens at every other NFL franchise, I'm sure.

I seem to recall Newman getting called out at one point. But I can understand why the organization feels the way it does about Claiborne. They invested way to much into him to be getting the production that he is putting on the field. He needs to be a game changer in a good way. So far this season, he has been a game changer in a bad way.

It's not Claiborne's fault, the Cowboys organization is the one who moved up to get the guy. Mo Claiborne is what he is, an average cornerback. I believe the Cowboys fell in love with the hype and thought that Claiborne would be close to or the equivalent of that guy over in Arizona.

Essentially, a series of no consequence decisions made by football hobbyists. Mindless merchandise sales and Palace constructions seem to make them immune from market forces, however.

Does anyone else miss the days when only Parcells talked about the team? I sure do. I know you can not totally muzzle JJ, but it sure seemed much quieter when Parcells ran the team.

Is Stephen going to call out the GM who advocated trading 1st and 2nd round picks for Claiborne as well?

HE can say whatever he wnats, doesnt make it right, that offense hasnt been consistent yet. Until that happens, leave the defense, who has been keeping you in games, alone. Maybe Stephen should be thinking and learning instead of shouting off his mouth before hes put in charge and everyone is gunning on his every move.

Calling out a player should be the coaches job. Nobody else's. But that's why this organization is dysfunctional as it is. You don't need me to explain that to you - the results speak for themselves.

I don't like the management style of this organization...but stephen and jerry write the checks. They can call out whoever, whenever, and however they want.

You really think criticism is unjustified for these players? They get paid millions of dollars, and should perform as such.

Yup, they have a right to run the organization into the ground if they choose to. The issue is their revenue comes from the fans in one form or another. They have a responsibility NOT to run the organization into the ground because doing so will cause the fans to hurt their collective pocketbooks. Everyone has to answer to someone or something.. Even if you're a billionaire...

In that vein, Jimmy is also still hanging out and working on TV.

Stephen Jones needs to shut up case his boy JG hasn't been doing well for 6 years straight... I'd say 7, but we all know he wasn't coaching the offense then...

Glad to see Stephen be more vocal this year. When we get players who underperform they need to be called out.

Only from the homer crowd would you hear this. It's always good when the FO calls out players.

Everybody on this team plays bad at one time or another. Maybe he should just call everybody out at the same time and be done with it.

You kiddin me? LOL The Jones clowns have so much money that they needed a hobby to invest in. And really, the Dallas Cowboys organization is their hobby. Would either of these blowhards hold the same position with another NFL franchise? Absolutely not.

I'm sure they are very disappointed in Mo. They made a huge investment as far as draft picks expecting an elite performer, and so far he has been average at best.

Why hasn't he called out Garrett or Callahan? Mo needs to be benched & earn his starting position back. I hate when the Jones speak!!!!

The owner, Jed Clampett, and his son, Jethro Bodine, must constantly be visible. No matter how correct Jethro's comments on Claiborne are, why he is on the radio calling players out is beyond me. That's the coaches job usually, but our coach has been spade and neutered. Whenever I hear Jerry or Stephen speak I'm reminded of the old saying "Better to be thought an idiot, than open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Great post.
