the latest article was training camo 2014 and Dez had an all pro year. safe to say he saw his issues and corrected it,no?

It's not all or nothing, chachi. I like Dez and have already said he has improved. You guys just see Dez as all good and the coaches as all bad. I'm trying to insert nuance.

Dez needs to be in better shape so he has enough stamina to rant and rave on the sidelines and to be able to perform on the field. One of the reasons he's always having to head to the locker room for an IV is he uses so much energy on the sidelines. It's no surprise he gets dehydrated as often as he does.

So now you're going to try and insult my intelligence. now that I've limited my multisyllables you guys just don't know how to come at me any more though.

Dez didn't move around in 2014 when he was all pro. It is what it is.

Good thing I didn't hold my breath for you to justify your playbook comments.

Dez was moved around plenty in 2014.

i see him lining up at both wr spots as well as the slot. justsay youre wrong and move on. stop spouting old dez talking points

you said we cant use dez like atl does Julio and thats wrong based on 2014film. you can put dez anywhere in 2016. you dont pay a wr what dez got if he has trouble knowing his assignments. that should be common freaking sense

I said before , the contract dispute led to dez showing up late , and out of shape, and he wasnt ready to play
by game one.
Then he didnt hydrate right, so that led to the injury.
You would think he would have stayed in shape , but evidently not.

Now the jones boys admit all that, and now want to make sure he is ready to go game 1 2016.
So that is a plus that they are telling him he needs to be in shape and ready to go this season.

I didn't say that. You can try to backdoor using his contract but that is nonsense.

As for that highlight film I counted 1 post, 1 smoke , and 1 slant while all the rest were fades, flies, and deep ins.

I didn't see comebacks, outs, flags, hitch, or hooks. You get a sense from that list where his weakness was. Those are the routes that destroy Brandon Carr FWIW.

seahawk game. think what you want though. i know like most fans that if we had julio wed be sayong the same

Well I am going to think based on the evidence presented. You just said that the highlight film showed it and when I disputed that, you now have moved the goalposts. Now I'm supposed to believe this with even less evidence?

Of course I can think what I want. It's a free country but I'm trying to make a compelling argument. Dez ran a ton of fades and flies until Linehan came in. I actually think Linehan has been excellent for Dez. Right from the beginning of 2014 he installed the deep in and Dez's game expanded.

I was really excited for last year because Dez was putting a lot of work on those comebacks -- a staple of the X which TWill is not good at -- and was starting to make plays.

My point isn't that Dez is bad or hasn't improved but instead that it's been a process where he's been adding to his repertoire year by year. When he came into the league he struggled on his release against a good jam. That is now ancient history.

Blaming the playbook just seems completely obtuse to player development to me especially considering that none of us have actually seen it.

The Cowboys didn't save a dollar by waiting until the final hour to make an offer to Dez....they knew for over a year that they were going to have to pay up....they used the bs video type stuff as an excuse to hold down the guarantee but that didn't fly....Dez was in great shape.....he broke his damn foot.....sheeeesh

The real question of all this is...why hasn't some IV company come forward with an endorsement deal? Clearly Bryant is a model spokes person for this untapped arena of business. Gatorade and Pedialyte? Got nothing on the IV. Throw up the X....IVX.

Dez has disappeared in games due to being dehydrated, or at least missed some snaps. He's also went AWOL in the 4th a few times and it has been discussed on here, in the media, and during games. I don't know if he's tired or what. His stats show that he excels in the 4th but they may be even better if he was out there more. Furthermore, he just isn't used enough in the offense as a whole. I don't know if its his route tree is limited or if this offense is limited in its imagination. His numbers would be better if he were more involved because he is that good.........

Its easier to watch the game like a 8 year old and say dez dissapeared. Who cares about coverage. Who cares that sometimes Romo doesnt throw to the right guy (like Keyshawn pointed out in the game vs Detroit). Annoying fans

Maybe they aren't the annoying ones. Dez is almost always Romo's go to. If he ain't throwing to Dez, likely Dez isn't open. Maybe he is doubled, maybe he stumbled, maybe he took a play off. Dez is a good player, but he is not the most mature guy on the team.

You love him and think he does no wrong? Fine. But don't be calling other posters annoying. Because that is annoying.
