Sturm: Dez Bryant running out of time to justify his massive contract

All I know is that if he's not great this season, I'll betcha they release him.
Maybe. If he's not great this season I may be leading the calls for his release. It would surprise me, though. I expect to see the Dez we saw down the stretch last season.

Dez is overrated, I wish they had traded him in the off-season. If he can go 16 games and catch 100 for 1400, then I will change my mind, but I don't think those numbers are attainable for him anymore. I hope I am wrong.

I mean.... not from lack of ability. he's been injured. not sure where Sturm buys his crystal balls from

Its almost to the point that these guys like Crawford, Dez, Witten are the last of the old guard bad contracts.

Witten's contract wasn't bad, we're just at the point in the deal where we're upside down on it.
I'll just leave this here:

WR Targets (2015 + 2016 regular season)
  • Antonio = 350
  • Julio = 333
  • Dearyius = 321
  • TY = 291
  • AJ = 232
  • Jeremy = 200
  • Dez = 171

Well, that's a pretty good counter-argument.

I was going to step around the target comparison, because it invites all sorts of disputes, but the WR ratings are pretty compelling.

I like Dez. Unfortunately injuries are part of football and beyond his control.

I love his effort on the field. Yeah he hasn't met expectations last couple of years but it's not because lack of effort. His career isn't over.

Go Cowboys! Go Dez!

:flagwave:

You know this, how?
My best friend (who works for the Cowboys) went with the director of player personnel to Dez's house, where 4 family members were sitting there all day smoking weed (none have jobs) and they told Dez they were hungry, and Dez took them out to eat. He does that all the time. I get helping your family, but there's being taken advantage of.
