That's what was absurd about Dak's season. He's definitely going to get a better with experience. But there were multiple examples on film of Tony telling him things that the defense was doing. It's not a slight of Dak to say there are things Tony does better--especially after playing for 13 years. Nor is it a slam on Tony to say that Dak creates problems for defenses that Tony can't. They're just both very talented players with different strengths.
Nope, can't say that. Saying Romo does anything better than Dak is cause for you to be shunned in public like a leper in ancient times. Dak doesn't need to learn anything. He had a 68% completion rate and only 4 picks. Learn football idgit.

No no no. See Dallas is the villain here. Houston needs a QB. Dallas has two. And Houston really wants one. But they don't want to pay for it. I mean how ridiculous to think Dallas should get something for the asset. Obviously Dallas should just give him away. Just like Houston gave us Watt when they had an extra pass rusher lying around.

This is the position of most NFL fans, the guys on the Ticket, Jesse Holley, Ben & Skin, and the Fan. Sometimes I feel like I'm going insane when this kind of stuff passes for logic.

I generally feel like I'm on crazy pills on this topic, too. Though I've always thought Tony was a much better QB than he's generally given credit for being. I think somebody is getting a steal next season, because I don't think they're realistically going to be able to pay us what he's still worth.

I try to stay out of the Romo/Dak drama. I like both guys just fine. I don't get where the conflict comes from.

I think his worth is debatable. Injuries are a substantial factor in his value. I think a conditional pick solves a lot of the mystery. I'm just disgusted with this idea that Dallas doing something, that every other team would do in their shoes, is somehow nefarious.

Most left out the half of the do right rule that said Dallas would do what's best for Romo AND the Cowboys. Then the mediots establish their own timeline, based on their incorrect interpretation, and break out the pitchforks when it proves false.

You can't be Switzerland on that issue apparently. You have to like one and hate the other. It's how every Romo compliment is taken as Dak hate and vice versa. We are living in sensitive times with hard fast lines in the sand.

Dak is not a rookie. He is a returning vet that guided his team to a 13-3 record. He showed enough he can handle a full load.

RG3 showed signs of trouble with how he played. No one was surprised he got hurt.

Dak's time is now. Let Romo leave and play for another team.
Until the draft he's still a rookie.

It's kind of weird to listen to it. And it's not coming just from this board. You hear it all over the place, on forums with more than just Cowboys fans. Not sure where it's coming from, but it's kinda stupid. I just try to interpret it as fear from fans of other teams, because they know what's coming if we continue to draft well and focus on the defense the next three drafts. This team could become really dangerous if the status quo holds.

This relates to my other favorite nonsense of the offseason.

Somehow, Dak was only good because of the guys around him, who are all back, but now he's going to suck, even though the reasons he was good in the first place will still be here.

Square that circle for me.

I'm pretty sure that Tony was helping Dak and the team.

I certainly hope he was but that was last year. It is Dak's time and fan's and media need to let it be that way. I love Tony as much as the next hardcore supporter (of Tony) but his time as the captain has run its course. I moved on last year (not that means anything) because it was clear as day the changing of the guard was happening right in front of us.

For everyone that is not sure about Dak, what more do you want from a 1st starter? A rookie no less. I bet the coaching staff and even Jerry has more confidence in Dak then they did with Tony going into year 2 as the starter.

The new league year started March 9th so enjoy the face palm with some crow. Besides even in the most general sense everyone knows Dak will be returning as a 2nd year player.

Dak's never seen March as a Cowboy... he's still a rookie.
