Texas vs Nebraska

Mack Brown seems like a very nice guy and is a great recruiter, but when it comes to actual coaching, there's just an ocean of difference between him and the guy who's going t be across the field from him in the Nat Champ game.

Giving Saban a month to prepare for a game is almost not fair.
Pete Carroll agrees.

Nobody said Pete Carroll was a great coach. Brown and Carroll are both great recruiters and ra ra guys- not coaches. Vince won that title game vs. USC - not Coach Brown.

There's a difference between Vince Young and Colt McCoy. I didn't see the game tonight, so I can't comment on Colt's performance, but Vince was a much better qb IMO.

Yes... Vince was AWESOME at Middle Linebacker that game...

Vince was great, but it was a team effort... he doesn't play defense or OL or any other position except QB...

Their Oline played pretty bad, but some of those plays were Colt holding onto the ball too long. The INT weren't the Oline's fault.

Take the orange glasses off - Colt was not a top QB tonight. Now most the time, the kid is great - but not tonight.
no **** numnuts. did I say he played well?

ya, is that kinda like how lebron would dominate orlando and then the lakers last year? with your "prediction" record i think i can safely go to vegas and put lots of money on texas now

exactly, like i said before, this was texas' worst game and its not any worse than games alabama had vs tennesse AT HOME!! or florida had vs arkansas where they should have lost

Nice to see you open your fat mouth whenever your teams or players are doing well.

How bout them Nuggets tonight!!
:lmao2:

Spurs suck

actually, one of the INT's WAS the lines fault, seeing as the defense got penetration and had the ball tipped. and i guess you didnt watch the game and all the replays of all of colts receivers being covered and thats why he didnt just throw it? u need to stop drinking the haterade

the players always win the games, not the coaches.....all the coaches do is put the players in the best position to succeed.

crack on Mack all you want, but he is the winningest coach in the nation since coming to Texas. He has a National Championship, 2 Big 12 Championships, and has led his team to 5 consecutive Bowl victories.

But yes, he is a horrible coach.

since the stat guys said the 3rd one was an INT, then it was on Buckner, not Colt....Colt hit Buckner in the hands. The defender ripped it out of Buckner's hands.

exactly, so really only one INT was his fault for not "holding on to the ball" like you stated.

Well I wouldn't say coach brown out coached coach carroll that game - which the post I was responding to pretty much said.

No doubt but we've heard the "four weeks to prepare for Mack Brown" stuff before and that was with the greatest college team ever, two Hesiman winners and all that.

Yep the Spurs lost again in November.....please go back over the past 10 years and look at all the games, pre-January, that the Spurs lost.

Pop is tinkering with lineups and so forth. The Spurs have been in almost every single game. It isn't like they are getting shot out of the building every single night.

I am not concerned with them right now, they will be fine. I trust Pop and the team.

basketball season started already?

I am still stunned about the clock mismanagement by Colt you would think he was a freshman instead of a senior. I think Texas will have trouble with Alabama. They are basically Nebraska on steroids. Texas doesn't run the ball well enough and Bama's D is going to look at what comprable teams like OU and Nebraska have done to shut them down and Bama's offense is pretty physical. There's really no teams in the Big 12 that could test Texas as much as Bama will.

well Texas shut down reggie bush, making carroll play lendale white on the fourth and 1 stop, the most underrated play of that game. id say part of that was coaching, i dont think the players could have just gone out there and stopped one of the "greatest running backs ever, he is the next gale sayers" they said.

on another note, BSPN is already talking crap about the horns saying Bama will destroy us, i just wish florida would have won so we could have heard how tebow is the best qb ever and florida is the greatest team ever
