Why? you essentially lost your biggest chip in years for nothing if that's the case.If I'm chargers I let him go back Into next year's draft.

The agency that represents him asks for the same thing for all of their clients.
They have gotten it from all of them except for the Chargers.
I'm sure they are worried if they give in now, then that's it.
Dealings like this normally are not specifically the players asking for this or that. it is the agency representing him
Now, I guess he could fire his agency...not sure what the penalty would be though.
I think there is a window the league allows you to trade the rights of a pick. I think that window is long passed.
Should have traded him. They lose a 3rd pick overallIf I'm chargers I let him go back Into next year's draft.
the deadline was Aug 9th, 30 days before the start of the season...plus no teams have rookie cap pool money left to sign him if they were allowed to trade...its overThanks for the reply.

There is a early deadline for that type of thing for rookies. I think it passed a week or two ago....not positive though. Why do you think they can't trade him this season? Didn't the Chargers trade Eli after they drafted him?
the issues they are fighting for are almost meaningless to a star player...... he is getting 14.5m at signing instead of 17m and offset language is really only about getting cap space back if things go wrong.....it really doesn't impact the player, their contract is already 100% guaranteed no matter whatBottom line is they work for him and profit off of his back. He needs to tell them to get it done and get his butt to work. Clearly Im jumping the gun but I dont foresee a long prosperous career for a jack wagon like this.
It goes up if you trade from what I understandNot that easy. Not every team would have had the rookie pool money to sign him, I believe.
IIRC, this is all the Chargers' fault, not Bosa.
Despite what they're offering him now, he probably doesn't want to play for them at all. They have a long history of disrespecting players with lowball contracts and offsetting language.

True.
But the player drafted before him and after him have the offset language and deferred bonus language in their contracts. So it's not like the Chargers are doing something no one else has done here.
only if you trade him during the draft........once the draft ends the rookie pool money stays with the drafting teamIt goes up if you trade from what I understand
About what I'm thinking at this point. I expect to see Bosa in the draft again. he's only 21, so it's not like a 24 year old rookie. Still plenty young to go back into the draft and hopefully find a better team to be drafted by.
