The Anti I Told Ya So Thread (where you admit things you don't want to admit)

I thought that one day, sometime, just once...that kartr would just answer this one simple question!

"Where is Quincy Carter playing football today"?

He never answered me...after a hundred times...he avoids that question like the plague...

:lmao:

I'm sorry but.......anyone who admits to thinking Troy Hambrick was our next great back ought to take Rack's advice and slap yourself in the face with a cactus. 42 times.

Heck no. He was averaging 5 yards a carry for a few season there. We still had something of an offensive line early in his career and he wasn't asked to carry the main load, so it was all a little deceptive. Hambrick didn't have Emmitt-likes moves but he was still a bulldozer, and I thought he was at least going to be a solid back in the mold of someone like Michael Pittman. Shoot, I thought he was going to have at least one thousand yard season in Arizona too. And honestly, I think he could have, it was probably the same deal as his bro, not much upstairs.

In 1989, I WANTED TONY MANDARICH OVER TROY AIKMAN!!!

Thank God I am not the GM. Dallas would be stuck at 2 Super Bowls still.

Suddenly, I feel much better about my mistakes. :D

I admit, I was impressed as much as anyone with that SI article. He looked like the real deal.

I'm of the opinion that quarterback is the only position you draft #1 overall, otherwise, if there's no franchise QB, trade down for more picks. It's the only position that so many positions rely on. I appreciate a good line as much as the next guy, but if you're going to have to pay that much money, you might as well grab the one player that can make everyone around him look good.

Wow I wish I could add something to this thread

I really thought that Chris McAllister (Balt.) was gonna be the next Deion..

I thought Mike Williams (Det.) would be deadly in the Redzone..

I thought Jerry Jones was nothing more than a country bumpkin when he bought the team..

I really thought some of our lesser draft picks like (Weatherington, Dotson, Hegamin..etc...) would turn out to be good players

I was big on Weatherington too. :( Between the Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells eras, there were several defensive linemen that I thought had the potential to hit it big. Boy did we waste a lot of draft picks on the line.

Wow now that is bad!:D

I can honestly say I was sweating bullets hoping that the Packers would win that final game against the Cardinals...So we could get Aikman.

I was SO PSYCHED when we traded for Henson...I was so sure he would be starting by now. My wife bought me not only his #11 jersey but also his #7 after he switched and I wore it to the Commanders Monday night game last year!

I haven't given up on him yet... But Big disappointment so far.

Come on Henson....Prove me wrong!

I think he already has..

I thought Antonio Bryant would do great things with the cowboys. Had seen him play in the Big East and thought he would be great.

I thought the colts were crazy for taking Edge over Ricky.

I thought Solomon Page was going to be a very good player for us.

I thought Courtney Brown was going to be a Stud in the NFL.

I had the same thoughts on Page Brain he did play well for us; little did I know he was a lazy player (another one that wasted his talent). Yep thought we where going to be set with Page and Flo as bookends.

I thought drafting of Shante Carver was not that bad I mean he had all those sacks in college and stuff

I thought Derrick Lassic was going to be a really good back up RB behind emmitt for us after watching him carry Bamba to a National Title with some great runs all year. He was a one in done in the league

- I had man love for Patrick Ramsey and thought he was the next raging cajun.
- I thought Andre Carter would have 10 sacks this year. (Didn't one of the Skins homers proclaim this in a thread not too long ago?)
- I thought Lavar Arrington was a Hall of Famer.
- I thought Michael Westbrook was the next Michael Irvin.
- I thought Stephen Davis would have no success on his next team, especially not reach the Super Bowl.

How can you leave out Art's proclamation of Brandon Noble as a "blocker magnet?"

For shame.

I also forgot "I thought we ripped the heart out of the Dallas Cowboys when we signed Deion Sanders."

Go look at the stats of Deion with the RedStinks. The have all four years of stats from 2000 to 2003... :lmao2:

Anyone remember what the Midget payed him? All I remember is that when he left, the Midget still owed him something like 6 or 8 million...and Deion said on TV, "Tell Mr. Snyder I love him".

:laugh2:

I went to bed early during the Monday night game against the Skins because I had an exam the next morning.

I'm guessing there are a few churches that can thank Dan Snyder for their new organ.
