The Carton Show: Rumors of Dak Prescott being traded to the Raiders are floating around

Tell me what incentive Dak has to accept a trade to a team largely considered a non-playoff caliber team, and I'll at least start to listen.

This is so irrational, but so timely... we have nothing better to talk about, of course. :D
Money? Not saying this has a chance of happening, but players go where the money is.

NFL draft in 2 weeks.

If any teams are interested, we should know something soon.

No takers = embarrassment for Dak.

Then this thing moves into a new phase where Dak could get cut and miss some/most/all of the 2024 season.

All of the big FA money has been spent.

Dak will play the whole 2024 season. After that he will cash-in or leave. Simple as that.

Obviously you haven't played sports in your life cause there is more than one leader on a team. You're not qualified for this debate.
Apparently the defense was the reason Cooper Rush was 5-1 to the Dak fanboys.. so he must be the real leader you are referring to..

A no-trade clause is a stipulation in a contract that allows a player to reject any proposed trade in which they are involved. No-trade clauses may also feature variations, such as provisions stating a list of pre-determined teams a player is willing to waive the no-trade clause for or one that allows a team to only trade a player during a certain period of time. Hypothetically, the assumption cannot include every potential taker if Dak Prescott's contract has a list of preferred trading teams. There could be an interested team that is not on his list.

Would a single taker, who is not on his list, be an embarrassment to Prescott? Jerry Jones would still be powerless to arrange a trade or even simply discuss a trade if Prescott enforced his veto power in that scenario.

Dak Prescott has been one of the highest paid players in the NFL for the last four years. He will be one of the highest played players in the NFL for the next four years. What is he going to be embarrassed about? He could decide to stop playing football right now and never want for money the rest of his life. If you paid attention to NFL football you’d know teams will create salary cap space for a player they want. Nothing bad is going to happen to Dak Prescott. The Cowboys may not be as successful as you’d like this season, but Dak Prescott will be fine no matter what happens. Jerry Jones cannot hurt Dak Prescott. He’s the owner who’s been paying him all that money in the first place. For no deep playoff runs. Who is more embarrassed, Dak or Jerry?

this is more embarrassing for Jerry Jones than anybody else. Dak and his agent are sitting pretty. teams are going, he is going to be FA next year, so we wait a year, draft some players and then we just sign him and not waste a year.

Jerry sucks as a GM.

yes they were. 13 points a game. the very first time defense gave up more than 20 points we lost.....bad. so your red headed man crush couldn't muster much. btw, the defense also scored a couple of times to help the offense.

essentially we needed to have an all time best defensive performance to win. those are facts. undeniable.

Kind of like in both Niners playoff games where they gave up 42 points combined and Dallas' O put up 29 points combined?

For the price of $29 Million, a team can purchase Dak's contract from Jerry.

Throw in some draft picks and it's a deal.

That's cheap for a "top tier NFL QB.''

No takers = None of the other Owners/GMs think Dak is worth the $$$.

BTW, where are the 2024 workout videos with Dak and the WRs?

Maybe I missed them.

Nothing but smoke and mirrors for two more weeks. Jerry will make a splash be it a trade or a press conference where he announces 5 years deals for both Prescott and Lamb and maybe even Parsons. It is the Jerry way.

Same thing with the first 3 picks of the draft, we really don't have clue who they consider the best on their board. The 30 visits have a measure of what might happen but depending on what happens those 1st 15 picks because if a guy that didn't expect to be there then things will change.

Auto keeping Dak or not, the controversy will continue long after the draft of that I can guarantee.
