I remember a few years back, Garrett homers were telling us Romo kept checking out of Garrett's run plays and it was Romo's fault.. That and Romo was a choke artist, throwing INTs to ruin Garrett. The amusing thing was when Kyle Orton came in after Romo got injured, Orton tosses the ball like 50 times and threw 2 clutch INTs. The year before that, they blamed Dez for not knowing the routes...

Just like Cassell did this year and Weeden... Mostly on those idiotic sideline, hitch routes defenders knew were coming from the get go.

Slowwwwww your roll there, partner. I'm gonna go off topic here for a second, but ANY degree from an Ivy League should be highly regarded and no, history absolutely is not an easy degree, particularly with Princeton's curriculum. Garrett can't coach his way out of a paper bag, but the guy is absolutely book smart.

He went to Prep School as well and his other two brothers went to Princeton. Their father because the HC at Columbia the year they were all in Princeton and they transferred there, all of them. They have followed their father around wherever they went.

I'm sure part of the reason they have the legacy is because of the father's connections within the IVY League.

That being said, Jason seemed to be pretty decent at what he did.

But he can't coach and my burning hatred for him started when it was clear he was using his pull in the organization to shield blame and throw it all on Wade.

That being said, why is there a documentary on Jim Garrett at the Dallas Cowboys web-site, narrated by Judd Garrett. Pretty much nobody knows this clown, but it clearly demonstrates the role of Jim in this organization. He's like Lacewell, but probably even more influential.

It's hard not to be intrigued by someone like Payton or Harbaugh. McDaniels, possibly, assuming he's matured as a potential HC.

"You've heard me tell the story about getting those credit cards cut up about 15 years before I bought the Cowboys. You guys have heard it ad nauseam, but I arrived here at Love Field, young man there about 31, 32 years old and handed my credit card over here at Love Field. Lady went down a list, saw my name on it, reached up, cut it in two, said, 'Young man, you need to learn how to pay your bills.' Now, that's a little rugged day in Dallas, Texas."

LOL. He tells that one at least every 6 months when talking about the "pressure" he's under to build a winner. Nothing compares to that day at Love Field, of course no one is going to cut up his GM card.

Another reason Jason isn't going anywhere, Judd is the director of pro scouting. They are burrowed into this organization like ticks.

Harbaugh, Saban, Payton, etc. All of them can turn this mess into a contender over night.

If they keep JG, which is going to happen, they must bring in a new offense.

A new offense won't matter if it's used under garrets overall scheme. That's the problem. Not Linehan.

Dantonio/Mich State is a under the radar guy....

I would back up a Brinks truck to hire him. Great coach and motivator. But I think he basically has a lifetime contract with MSU.

Pretty interesting what happens when it comes time to look at who's really out there as a replacement HC. Josh McDaniels. Seriously, guys? Eric Mangini?
If you're replacing your HC and starting over again, you better be sure it's an upgrade.

Yes, 12-4 last looked. And if Garrett was any good, Dez would have held onto that ball. And Murray would never have fumbled either.

Awesome. One good season in 5 years. Claiborne has had one good season in 4 years; is he a good cornerback? No. Garrett, in his 5th year, still has no clue how to win. You don't win football games by going for a FG on a 4th & 3 while down 20 points. You don't win football games by not getting your top 3 WR more involved in the game. You don't win football games by running a predictable, vanilla offense. You don't win football games by continually starting people that aren't performing well, instead of giving others a chance. I don't even need to go into the games he single-handedly lost with bad clock-management.
