Have you noticed? He's done this before.

Osa started off this season like a boss. 3 sacks and 4 tackles for loss in the first 3 games.

In the 7 games since? Sackless with just a couple of TFLs. He wasn't even on the stat sheet this week.

Your starting 3 tech and he hasn't gotten to the QB in nearly two months. Playing with a big lead in many of those games and teeing off on QBs trying to mount a comeback.

Where are you, Osa Whosyourmomma? Or are you just a rotational player?
You mean Osa whatchamacallit?

Fans get too caught up on the DT technique. Let the Coaches worry about which gaps are being attacked each play. Bottomline, apply pressure and stop the inside runs. And we’ve probably been looking for that since the days of Jay Ratliff and La’roi Glover. We get a past his prime Hankins out of desperation, we’ve spent a first round pick, we get some flashes out of Osa…. But hope to see something pay off long-term.

And they will overpay him at some point like they did Crawford.

He's been solidly in the 50-60% of snap counts too over the past 4-6 games too.

He did this his rookie year too IIRC but being a rookie it seemed "fine" he would hit a wall.
Guess hes saving it for year 4 to blow up and become consistently good.

I hope Osa got the smile intended from this.

Hilarious, man.

Kinda like Pollard hadn't gotten into the endzone in two months. Let's hope they all continute to elevate each other.
This fanbase is best known for "pick a player."

Defensive player of the week a month ago.

He's been nursing a hamstring injury the last few weeks

In typical Cowboys code 3239.21 article (3), we must have players play well, and they're going to have a drop in play, injury, and we'll get lucky to have a Bland that stays healthy even when the star next to him is injured!

Osa is a prototypical rotational DT type. Very nice player.

I think this is part of the reason they drafted Mazi. Yes Mazi can play 1T but I also think they’re hoping he can provide more consistent pass rush and play snaps at 3T too. As OSA clearly tends to wear down over the season.
What would lead them to believe that Mazi can provide a more consistent pass rush? The man played 30 games at Michigan and had a grand total of 0.5 sacks. Now a NT is there to plug up the run defense, so sacks aren't usually very numerous.

But I said before the draft that Dallas should not draft just the "big, fat guy" for the d-line, they needed someone in the mold of Aaron Donald (not saying there was one available to Dallas, just that Dallas needed somebody like that), somebody who could both plug the run and provide at least some pass rush.

And Smith wasn't/isn't that guy. He may yet develop into a good run stopping DT, but I'd be very surprised if he ever got more than a couple of sacks a year....

Besides last year's outlier Daron payne averages less than 3 sacks per year. 2 per year from mazi with great play vs the run is a win to people that know football

Unless you want to win a super bowl, then he was a great pick.
Yea, Carolina is really better off because of him.

What a stupid argument. We have been over this time and time again. Teams that win Super Bowls don't depend on those types of players, and they certainly don't draft them in the top 10. You are unequivocally wrong.
