The Eagles Jalen Hurts problem

Posting six times in a half hour span in the same thread seems big mad. Couldn't be me.
I don't recall asking you about you. Lol Yall definitely spend more time talking about the Eagles, their players and coaches -- unprompted. More than Eagles fans talk about yall on their teams boards. Everyday yall are on these boards talking about the Eagles in some way. If you were kn BGN. The main Eagles fan communication page. The Cowboys aren't even mentioned in any of the discussions about the teams offseason right now. Lol

I get it Success breeds hate and envy.

He says as he has 233 posts on a Cowboys board.

We're glad that Dak is yours and Jerry and Stephen are the owners.

Throws one of the best and most accurate deep balls in the league and has never had a losing season at any level on any team.

Tom Brady, Kurt Warner, Brian Baldinger, Jon Gruden, Joe Thiesman all say he is a great to elite qb.

Jordan made him the face of his entire brand.

But everybody with an opinion and internet connection. Knows more than them; from their couches or place of employment which is not the NFL.

You haven't seen Dak do anything in his 10 year career that comes close to what that predictible offense has been able to do with Hurts. Yet the excuses flow like water around here.

Dak needs a top 5 defense to win. He's had that and lost. Dak needs multiple offensive weapons to win. He's had that and lost.
The Cowboys need better coaching to win. They've had that and lost.

Thats an indictment of the entire Cowboys organization. From Jerry, Stephen, Dak, and the water boy.

As an unabashed Eagles fan and NFL football fan that just doesnt watch the Eagles, but actually watches all games on sunday. Its hilarious!

Yall are entertaining on these boards to say the least.
Hey man… I’m just glad to have an eagles fan in here who actually says he’s an eagles fan and isn’t masquerading as a cowboys fan.

We could use more of you guys and less of the others.

I have no problems with rival fans in here posting.

I have had some great conversations talking with a lot of yall. All out rivarly hatred asid. Yall have a lot of good and smart people on this site. That arent afraid to talk shop,or call out your teams BS. Lot of ppl that know ball around here. And you have your share of clowns like we have ours.

Its been an enjoyable experience and not a lot of doo doo talking.

Explain how it's an excuse my friend. Let's dialogue :)
bc football games aren't won or loss bc you have an "elite qb". Thats a contributing factor. Sure. But not the main or only factor. The most complete/balanced and well preparred team is why you win football games.

Like, saying Josh Allen who everybody considers elite. Can't win bc he has faced other elite qbs. And in some cases had mid-defenses. Is coping and an excuse.

For one example.

Lamar Jackson is an elite qb. He has lost games in the playoffs for a variety of reasons. Not just bc there was an "elite" qb he played against. Its a lazy and uncritical take. IMO

"Elite" is a term ppl throw around to try and win the internet. Stats are for losers. You think Super Bowl Champion and MVP Jalen Hurts cares on whether he is considered elite or not? Or that he had sub 200 yard games on route to putting up legendary Super Bowl stats that ONLY him and Brady have managed in NFL history?

Based on his words of, "I can't control what these ppl say. But if thats what they need to do and I keep winning? Let them talk."

I can assure you he does not.

Mic drop

Since Lamar became an elite qb has he lost to a non elite qb in the playoffs?

The answer was no. Thanks for the reply though. My point stands. Nice try
You have no point and are trying to win the internet. Lamar Jackson does not play against the opposing teams quarterback. And the opposing qb does not play against Lamar.

The 1st point of having a serious, genuine conversation is agreeing on the simpliest basis of reality.

Which you are making crystal clear here -- that you are not in any shape or form trying to do.

Pat yourself on the back all you want. Won't change your lazy, uncritical take or ball knowledge.

Let me help your uncritical self out.

Using 1 Ravens playoff loss vs Chargers:

Chargers def rank #14 and gave up an average of 21 points. The Ravens ranked 4th
in defense and gave up an avg. of 17 pts.

The final Score was 23 - 17. The Chargers averaged 21 points a game. And the Ravens who had the #1 offense that year. Averaged a whooping 32 points per game.

So you're telling me that Lamar lost to the Chargers. Bc his team could only score 17 pts when they averaged nearly double that all year. On a middle of the road def. Bc they had Justin Herbert. lmao.

Bro stop trying to talk ball with me. You're about 5 levels below my echelon.

Talk about wanting to win the internet lol. I didn't even read this. I asked you a yes or no question you declined. We have nothing left to discuss. Stay mad lil buddy

Thats the response i expect when you have no argument. And i actually did answer the question. I said I dont think Justin Herbert is an elite qb. But you missed that bc you didn't read the response in the discussion you started. Which is clown car.

My anger levels are at the same level of the Cowboys championship success in the 21st century.

Non-existent.

You tried tho.

Fantastic? Sure, fantastic for a QB whose D is winning the game.

Last super bowl he had 221 yds passing, and got 75 yds rushing as the Chiefs focused their D on shutting down Barkley. If you're remember, Hurts wasn't very good early in that super bowl, but the D completely squushed the Chiefs, so he was given more chances. And then w/ a big lead, it was easy for him to just drive the bus and not turn the ball over.
You will need to remind me again who won Superbowl MVP in that game?

Tell me how many All Pros does Trent Dilfer have to go with that Super Bowl?

I get it you only watch the Cowboys and don't know football. Just say that next time.

Yeah you right. I only watch the Cowboys. Ive been to more NFL games than you've probably been to Pop Warner games. Even though all of the other NFL teams that I've seen play have different logos, names and cities than the Dallas Cowboys..... I guess i thought those were different versions of the Dallas Cowboys. Yeah you're right. I only watch the Cowboys.

I get it.... you really had nothing informative to say so you just assumed I only watch the Cowboys.

Oh, about those All-Pros. Amazing accomplishments, no doubt, but he still hasn't won a Superbowl like Dilfer and Foles. Hell, he hasn't even made it to the Superbowl like Rex Grossman and Colin Kaepernick.

I'll leave you with this.... which players are remembered, the players with an All-Pro(s) or the players with a Superbowl ring(s)? I haven't seen any All-Pro rings or All-Pro banners hanging from the rafters.

Last I checked, the goal is to win Superbowls. All-Pro awards are nice.

Great post, you have some very good points in there. Some points you made about what Dak needs to succeed could be said about most quarterbacks though.

Whats mind boggling is the Cowboys record vs the Eagles with Dak at the helm is 10-5. The Eagles record vs the Cowboys with Jalen Hurts at the helm is 5-4.

Im still surprised that a 32nd ranked cowboys defense last year shut the high powered, All-Pro laden, Hurts led Eagles offense down.

The kellen moore factor
Builds a system to make average quarterbacks look great
