Escobar will be right back on the Dallas bench in 2016. They will draft their new bench fixture at TE next year.
I hope so

GB, you seem to love to create these threads...
the shark jumping ones.
I agree Escobar has been underutilized but the dude was seriously injured.
A very weird time to crow about it.
And why are we writing his eulogy?
Makes zero sense.
Actually, I think that is when the team will see its offense open up drastically.
Any one of these tight ends over the year could have been more dynamic than Witten. The guy is just entirely too slow, but as a result of his relationship with Romo, you see him depend on him entirely too much.
That's not even close. An Achilles is a 6-8 month injury. The only reason they would have him sit out and rehab is that they don't want him on the field.
I ruptured mine in June and had surgery on June 30. I played basketball on December 15, which is 5 and a half months after surgery...and that's with working a full-time job and not being able to get in the gym every single day. The guy's job is to rehab. He should be fine come training camp.
Starts thread about Escobar and buys time to subtlety bash Witten. You are fooling no one.
Training camp starts in either the last week of July or August. Even if he misses the first couple of weeks, that doesn't mean he's going to miss any time in the regular season. Not sure where the disconnect is. That puts him out from June to August. Which has him missing most if not all of camp. That means no development from this year. Which doesn't bode well for his 2016 season, which either way, is his last here in Dallas.

I think you overestimate an achilles injury.I think you underestimate the time it takes for players to come back in and play, especially after missing all of training camp if not all of preseason...
I think you overestimate an achilles injury.
I'm telling you from first-hand knowledge, right now, how long the recovery is. You start rehab like 2 weeks after surgery...again, he might not be 100% come training camp, but he'll be able to participate. Tyrone Crawford talked about how he played without full strength in his achilles, but he was still able to play.
Ok? 9-month rehab doesn't mean you can't do anything until the 9-month mark, is what I'm saying. All injuries and rehabs are different, the Achilles tear is typically a nine-month rehabilitation, if not a little longer. Even if Escobar is on that schedule, he could wind up missing the first part of the regular season, and likely all of training camp.
Two years ago, defensive tackle Tyrone Crawford tore his Achilles tendon on the first day of training camp in Oxnard, Calif., in late July. He was able to get back by some of the OTA practices the following May and started camp the next year.

Yes, I'm bashing Witten by saying what is true...
It's not true, it's your opinion and if you learned the difference it would make come off as less of an aspie. You are acting like having great hands and running precision can be replaced with a BS phrase like "dynamic". You are like someone looking at Madden speed ratings.
Or do you mean with the picks we have this year?
Ok? 9-month rehab doesn't mean you can't do anything until the 9-month mark, is what I'm saying.
Terrell Suggs tore his in April 2012 and was playing in October, just over 5 months after the injury.
Yeah should have clarified.
When Witten decides to retire{or god forbid seriously injured} this team is going to be caught with its pants down......again.
