We didn't have a game plan to either confront or adjust to the blitz. We never run the ball even when we're in a 3-0 game in the third quarter. Take the damn ball out of their hot QB's hands with TOP. Not the other way around.
I'll give you the poor execution as I did earlier. That doesn't distract from the poor play calling on top of it. We couldn't have called a much worse game IMO.
No doubt. That is one of the top three "must-do's" every week if we want to win. It wasn't too bad though, but it has to improve.
Not true. And it's hard to run when you're 0-3 in third down conversions in the 3rd quarter, and the distance needed was 19,13, and 23 yards. One of which was converted and called back for offensive PI that had no bearing to the completion at all.
I'm not saying our gameplan was perfect, but you're asking too much from ANY coach for it to be perfect. There was still plenty of plays to be made with what was called, and on the offensive side of the ball they made too many mistakes.
A defense that cant get off the field then an offense that cant stay on the field combined with penalties, drops, and fumbles is hard to overcome no matter what plays are called.
