I must have missed the carries where we ran it so well we could rely on the run.

You have to at least try to punch it in on 1st and goal from the one. There are 3 more downs to pass if that doesn't work. Right?

You must have missed MB3 running it for over 5 yards a carry and TC running it for over 4 a carry.

The run was effective, until shotgun ginge decided no mas.

It's a great theory. Ultimately I don't think pass or run matter. I have never understood why people get all up in arms about it. Whether it is a pass or a run you have to execute in order to score. We didn't. Why cry about it?

Difference is, Reid has a short passing game, which is effectively running. They also throw the ball out quickly.

While Reid hasn't won the Superbowl, he's taken them to the big dance and put them in a position to win...

This offense with Reid would be ridiculous...

The short passing game is the new run, we just need Ivy genius to get that revelation...

Can someone please tell me why we drafted Felix Jones? We take the guy in the first round to be our change of pace back and all he does is sit on the bench. It is clear that MB3 is banged up, he is not making yards after contact, looks slow as molasses, yet we still dont see much of Jones or Choice.

Felix a has a total of 4 receptions all season. They make ZERO effort to throw him screens or get him carries. I just dont see how you go full games without even trying to get him involved. Complete waste of a first round pick, if you are not going to try to use him.

We dont run, we dont use Bennett, RW's gets singled and still cant make plays. Teams are figuring out that if you can take away Witten and Austin, Garrett will do the rest by taking everyone else out of the game with his play calling.

Jason Garrett needs to go work for Al Davis, his deep pass happy offense is made for Oakland. I honestly think he is in way over his head, he panics and ignores the RBs at the first sign of resistance.

When Garrett tries to run and it gets stopped, or loses yards, he thinks it won't work and then goes away from it. Also, how is it that they can't seem to move Austin around enough to get him 1 on 1 with a safety, teams like the Colts and Patriots can do this with no problems, but he just lines Austin up and sends him directly into double coverage.

So line it up, run over guys in front of you. If it doesn't work, line up and try it again and again and again. But Garrett wants to score 40 points a game as if that's the key to winning Super Bowls.

Take your time, use your running game, play defense, then hit them when they're tired of getting pounded on.

Well with a pass, if it's incomplete, it stops the clock when you're already out of timeouts, as we were in that situation.

What? We have been pretty much money from the one yard line running the ball the last 3 seasons. Not to mention we were running for almost 5 yards a pop today.

The problem with Garret's offense is that it isn't working very well against competent teams.

What was the clock at while they were on the goal line?

The play is a safe play if the ball is placed where only the receiver can catch it.

Still like 6 minutes left at that point.

Right. If I'm not mistaken that's when we threw the interception.

why.. why so many . why does it seem like some games his play calling is reverse of what common sense would tell most men to do.

I'm never one to second guess the OC, but I have to admit that I was shocked when we threw a pass there on first down. For whatever reason, I had been expecting a run, and I was completely confused for a split second when Romo didn't hand off.

Ogletree has took that screen pass 10+ yards twice against Philadelphia last week...if he doesn't slip and fall tonight, he gains a 1st down on that play.

Exactly. You throw to either score or stop the clock, because if you dont get in on a run, another 20-30 seconds run off the clock.

You're not thinking that Romo is going to throw a pick there. At least you shouldnt be.

You cant coach a game scared to make a mistake.

Trust me, I know this far too well, I'm an Iowa fan.

How can you fault trying to get the ball to one of your playmakers? If you can't put the game in the hands of the guys that are considered to be core players you might as well blow this team up and start over.
