The next Randy White?

Now this kind of attitude is contagious. Absolutely what this team needs. I have been a Cowboys fan since 1967 and all of the successful DC teams had the this very mindset. I'm looking forward to seeing this style of play again.
Reminiscing about my favorites: Bob Lily, Randy White (Manster), Hollywood Henderson, Ken Norton, D Law, Micah Parsons and my favorite bully of all time Kevin Gogan. Too many others to name.

I wouldn’t be comparing Smith with Randy White just yet. It amazes me how overboard fans go with players before they ever put the pads on for the first time in an NFL game. If you listen to some of the fans, we have the next Randy White and Barry Sanders. Lol

He’s a high effort and high motor guy so that will go a long way in itself.

All the other defensive players drafted by the other teams are telling reporters that THEY are afraid of contact, that their teams drafted little dogs....little weak dogs with nothing much to offer their teams.

The fact that Mazi says he's going to he a good player for us, means we picked the right guy. I seriously doubt Mazi would say something like that...if he weren't going to be a probowl player.

Has anyone asked Schoonmaker if HE'S going to he a good player? I hope he says yes. Then we'll have TWO big dogs. These May interviews really let you know ow what kind of players you drafted.

I get too excited about rookie UDFAs every year when most of them don't pan out. I'm already dreaming of what players like Luepke, Bass, Durden, Johnson and Cropper might can do for this team and they might end up on the practice squad at best or not be near as good as some of the other UDFAs I didn't mention.

Gotta rein that in as much as threads like this that mention Mazi in the same breath as the Manster. Maybe he turns out to be a dominating Hall of Famer, but he could also just be a good run-playing NT.

The Dallas draft board only had one name, Dalton Kincaid. It was circled and underlined many times and Jerry had drawn little cartoons of Kincaid catching touchdowns and hoisting trophies. Jerry even drew a heart over the i's in Kincaid.

When the Bills deftly outmaneuvered Jerry all they were left to do was spin the wheel o' players because Jerry was so stunned he passed out in a Scotch haze.

No one had even heard of Smith in the draft room. By the time they woke Jerry up from his Johnny Walker induced stupor Tight Ends were down to Schoonmaker. Jerry picked him as soon as it was made clear that Paxton Lynch wasn't able to be drafted again.

I am optimistic about this season I really am , It appears the cowboys are going back to playing smashmouth football on both sides of the ball, this could be the recipe for success.Mix in some speed and look out the cowboys might surprise!

Our second to third year players are heading towards pretty advanced developing talents. That is the result of team building and not from a single school, but commitment. I won't insult other fans by labeling of 'rook' until he walks onto the field and given a couple of years...YOU?
