Umm Greg Hardy's case went to court. It was dismissed. Jordan Lewis's case also went to court for DV. It was dismissed also Based on the suspension that Zeke got Jordan Lewis can still be punished by the league.

Ray Rice case also went to court. So was Adrian Peterson's case. Josh Brown's is the only case that I can think of that didn't go to court. But there was a ton of evidence that he already was an abuser.

Whats ironic about the Josh Brown case was that the NFL never saw his police records. They didn't even attempt to look into it before giving him a 1 game suspension. Its probably the same with Zeke's case. The NFL probably didn't look at the report. They just hand a a 6 game suspension and call it a day.
I was speaking of the most recent cases.

Junior Galette
Quincy Enunwa
Ray McDonald
Josh Brown.

But as I said I agree with the sentiment. It's not an effective angle IMO. Now if you're curious about why some of these guys weren't suspended and why none were suspended for the full six games, I'd think you're onto something.

Their whole policy and response to arrests are a huge mess.

I mentioned in the previous post that I don't think Josh Brown's case went to court. But there was charges filed against him of domestic abuse.

I think your confusing a court dismissal with not going to court. Because as far as I know the three names you mentioned first, were in some kind of court case.

Zeke's case never went to court. Two different authorities Ohio and Florida both didn't even file charges against him and there was not even an arrest or warrant or anything made against Zeke. None.

And he may not have done it.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

The commissioner has the rights to discipline players based on infractions such as DV. The CBA does give him that. However, the courts are the only entity allowed to determined if the law was broken or not based on their judgement on evidence provided by both opposing parties. The CBA does not give the commissioner that right.

If a court overturns the league's decision to suspend Zeke in which he committed no crime - therefore the league has no business in suspending Elliot. And if the court decides that what the NFL did was unjust and unlawful and caused substantial damage to the integrity and reputation of Zeke Elliott, they can pressure the NFL to comply with court decision to life the suspension or otherwise face fines given to Zeke.
The court's scope in arbitration cases is narrow. They will likely defer to the mutually agreed upon CBA. May come down to judge shopping. Hope I am wrong.

LOL Free speech has everything to do with business? Otherwise you won't have a cowboyszone.com forum.

Lastly, you just answered your question. Innocent until proven guilty happens in a court of law. There is nothing stopping Zeke from taking the NFL to court. Nothing.

If a court of law deems that the NFL broke those laws they can overturn the suspension and/or fine the NFL and Goddell damages incurred onto Zeke.

Cowboyszone.com can shut down any speech it wants. That is because the first amendment (you know, the Constitution) does not apply.

Zeke will not be on trial in a court of law, thus innocent until proven guilty will not apply. If this goes to court it will be contract and labor law, not criminal law. This isn't difficult stuff. Please, buy a book, go the the library, or even just use google. Educate yourself. It's okay that you don't know this. I know the schools are awful, and only getting worse. Just take a little time and you can learn this.

Ummmm the reason why Cowboyszone.com exist is because of the first amendment. Go to China or Russia and you'll realize how powerful that 1st amendment really is. Therefore, Cowboyszone.com absolutely applies in this case.

Secondly, Zeke doesn't need to prove anything in a court of law. However, if he wishes, he can file a lawsuit against the NFL stating that the league is breaking his constitutional rights. Any court must honor that and take into account why they believe that his rights (innocent until proven guilty) is being threatened. The courts must honor the Constitution as the supreme law of the land and will supersede anything other law brought to court by the NFL.

I already provided you with what it says about the Constitution being the supreme law of the land.

Seriously, you need to stop bickering about this and learn this stuff yourself. This is pretty basic elementary stuff. Or did you not learn it in school?

Being in court plays a big part because it means you are charged with a crime. Therefore, prosecution is in place to punish someone for wrongdoing. All the players I've looked at so far has had some kind of court preceding charging them of a crime mainly domestic violence.

Although Josh Brown didn't go to court, he was still under investigation and prosecutors wanted to press charges because there was sufficient evidence to his wrongdoing. They weren't able to do so because the main witness did not want to. Thus, case was dismissed due to lack of evidence.

However, Zeke's case is different from all the others. The prosecutors found no grounds is bringing him to court. The evidence all supported Zeke and there was enough sworn testimony and evidence to prove him NO GIULTY. Therefore, his cased was dismissed. Therefore, the courts deemed that Zeke committed no crime in their eyes.

But your right. It will be up to the judge to determine that. Both parties will go judge hunting. But from all the other cases of DV being overturned, Zeke has the strongest possibility.

At any point in time, for any reason that might be considered justified or not, without regard to him being provoked by her to do so......

Did Ezekiel Elliott strike that woman at least once?

If she provoked him with taunting or insults....he should have walked away.

If she spat on him.....he should have walked away.

If she slapped him....he should have walked away.

If she was caught cheating.....he should have walked away.

If she was talking smack about his momma..........he should have walked away.

But it's tough under the circumstances he lives under. Some women can be juat as predatory when it comes to men. They are not attracted by the man, they are attracted by the status, money, and lifestyle.

If the man will not share his life with her she will feel cheated, as if he stole from her. He will pay somehow.

Zeke was trapped by a woman determined to use him to elevate her lifestyle, all indications are there. She is a user.

Still.....he should have walked away.

Botched or not, there is not enough popular opinion to stop some type of suspension.

Here let me educate you:

This Constitution, and the laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution or laws of any ...

This means the law of the Constitution supersedes any other law in the United States. I've mentioned it before and I hope you learn it.

As for Cowboyszone.com the first amendment still does apply. However, when you agreed to their terms of services you waived those rights completely. Which means anything you put here is owned by Cowboyszome.com - NOT YOU. Whatever you say here is now longer yours. So basically Cowboyszone.com has covered their bases regarding the 1st amendment and that they own whatever is posted here. Thus you can't sue them based on the 1st amendment. Facebook does this too. They own whatever content you put on Facebook.

Your not trying to help me. I know what I'm talking about. Its you that needs to be educated in such matters. Not me.

I think this was a pretty poor article tbh. The author doesn't seem to understand the timeline that well and uses that weak hearsay angle about race. There's plenty of defenses of this decision but I don't think this one was very effective.
