"The Walking Dead" Season 6 - Episodes 1-8

There were many good moments in the last episode with my favorite part being Eastman telling Morgan that his cell door had always been unlocked. Morgan exits the cell, has a blank look on his face, hesitates for a couple of seconds and BOLTS straight for Eastman like a wild man! Lennie James is The Man.

I thought it was implied that he had a gun and he was going to do it himself. Like Andrea... Etc...

I'll have to rewatch it but that could very well be the case.

Didn't he also finish (after being bitten) telling the story to Morgan about how having the guy starve for 47 days in that cell and die didn't make him feel more at peace with his family being murdered?

I really liked how the point was him making the most of life and not changing his daily activities or mindset until he had no more quality of life left, and going out on his terms.

Agreed.

Also not knowing the "world ended" until he went to town... To turn himself in.

I guess I'm going to have to watch that last episode with Eastman again. Killing himself makes more sense than having Morgan do it.

Good episode. The didn't have to use a 90 minute one for it though.

Especially after 90 minutes of "don't kill" "it's not what we do" "killing be bad" lol

Sometimes backstory episodes, even ones that may be relevant, are not welcome when it pushes off a hyped up large-scale zombie invasion for another week.

Agreed. And yet this "tactic" has been used by many directors.

Fringe tv show had Brown Betty

The ratings so far this season have dropped...

Two things...

-I think the spin-off has perhaps "over zombiefied" folks. Too much zombie TV too often?
-Shows burn out... and we see the same theme played out over and over... "Hey we're safe!" "Hey no we're not!". Wash, rinse and repeat. I can see where folks would get burned out on it.

the reason i fell in love with this story was the story. not the billions of zombies on parade and not cute and clever glenn death moments. but yea, the whole "searching for a home" is long since played out after the prison and terminus failures. at this point they're like on the 5th album from an 80s band where the only good one was the first one or two. after that only good for a song or two at best.

one thing i do know for sure is there are a lot less OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THE WALKING DEAD LAST NIGHT??? on monday mornings than there used to be. glenn's "death" - i don't recall seeing much about it going OH MY GOSH on facebook either.

Yeah, I think it's a two-part answer on that one... the first being that I think a lot of folks didn't buy that Glenn was dead. The second being that they've burned through so many main characters that people are probably getting a little ambivalent when a character meets their demise on the show.

Please folks, post no spoilers during the Cowboys game tonight. I'm not watching tonight's WD episode until after the game. Thank you

I usually don't watch it on Sundays nights, so what I do to not see spoilers is ... not read threads discussing the episodes until I see the show.

Only 3 episodes left before the mid season finale. Next episode is a Daryl/Sasha/Abe episode, but I'm struggling to see what they can fill the following episode with to not reveal Glenns fate. Maybe an episode about the girl who went over the wall? I think she's working with the wolves and don't think they're going to reveal much more with them until the finale though. I predict we find out Glenns fate in 2 weeks towards the end in some fashion and get more clarity in the finale.
