I'm so tired of the depression amongst the 'boys fans -- there are 10 games left for crissakes! Let's see how it plays out over these next 3 games. If we are 5-4 or better, we'll make a run.

How many TIMES do I have to repeat this?
WE ARE NOT GOING TO LOSE TO THE COLTS AT HOME!

I guarantee it! The Cowboys will not lose that game! I just know it!
ONCE AGAIN! THE COWBOYS WILL NOT LOSE THAT GAME!

MTRS-Jon;1123599 said:I appreciate the optimism of the Romo fans and I certainly hope that he succeeds, but I am curious as to the source of this optimism. What have you seen in the preseason and the one-half against the Giants, (where he wasn't that good) that gives fuel for this optimism?
Surely, it can’t just be because he is more mobile than Bledsoe. While I think he has some potential, we just haven’t seen enough of him to warrant the rampart love being shown for him on this board. I fully support the idea of being behind him and hoping that he succeeds, but it is awfully early to be making your super bowl travel plans.

5Stars;1123598 said:Neither...I just cannot stand everyone and their brothers and sisters gushing over how good the Colts are, how great they are, how blah, blah, blah!
Everyone is scared of the big bad Colts! Not me...! Not at home....
And, to prove to you that the Cowboys will win that game?
Save this post...sticky it if you want too...
If the Cowboys lose, I will ban myself for 45 days from this forum! (as if anyone cares)...
The Cowboys will not lose that game...just wait and see...

It's been made here in NE for over a century and was originally marketed as some sort of tonic for nerves and was also considered the viagra of its day.
I kid you not..make what you will of it.
Now it's strictly sold as an alternative to the sweeter Pepsi and Coke, but for years it was thought to have medicinal value.
There is also some sort of legend about a Lieutenant Moxie who braved the jungles of the Amazon and discovered the secret ingredient.
It's vile tasting stuff, vile. But the notion still lingers that it gives you 'spunk'. You'd have to be something special just to swallow this swill.![]()
I intend to check out the etymology later, but the word could have actually been coined from the product, and the attributes of spunk and guts attached to it. Not named for an actual word in the lexicon.
