If we don't i think it will come back and bite us for many years. this guy reminds me of the way the scouts were talking about Aaron Rodgers, when he fell way down in the draft. if he is there at 18, the Cowboys should take him.this guy is a gym rat. his am is strong enough. and he is smart enough to pick a defense apart.whoever is smart enough to get this kid will get a steal. this is on GM Jerry. if he makes a mistake and pass on Barkley like he did Rodgers. it will kill his team for many more years.

I don't know, I saw him on NFLN with Mooch. Mooch drew up a simple play with 3 patterns, he erased it and told the kid to reverse it and draw it up on the board, the kid had no clue. Now, maybe he was nervous, but damn.:laugh2:

Well it shouldn't be hard to get some inside info on this kid Kiffen has prob seen a few good Qbs in his time. But my hope is they look at Marcus Lattimore in late rounds but thats prob different after today's showing at his Pro day happy for the kid everybody said he looked great.

Im going to be sitting back here reading and taking names of those who said no. like A. Rodgers, the people who pass will be kicking themselves a year or two from now. remember you said no thanks a few years ago on Rodgers. this kid will start and be a great NFL quarterback.

He reminds me of Romo. Not a cannon for an arm, but can make any throw. If they can't get a deal for Romo, I wouldn't be against Barkley, but I think he goes mid first round anyways.

Barkley has always been an incredibly overrated prospect. Still is after his drop.

I live in SOCAL and watch all of the USC games and I am not impressed by Barkley at all. Average arm strength, slow to pull the trigger and he doesn't appear to be very intelligent. Just my take.

I am sure Monte has a good feel for the kid one way or another.

So, Dallas should have passed on DeMarcus Ware to take Aaron Rodgers? Or the highly decorated, National Championship winning Marcus Spears?

Nope. they should have taken Ware then Rodgers instead of a stiff like M. Spears.

Dont mean to jack your thread but were are talking Qb's so instead of new thread whats everybody think of my homeboy Ryan Nassib. My son went to a SU game at the end of the season and said he was gonna be playing in the NFL Dallas should look at him. I saw a HUGE improvement in him during the season.

Good player. but he is no Matt Barkley. Barkley will turn out to be a great NFL QB.he will be the A. Rodgers of this draft 2 years from now. the teams that pass on him will be kicking themselves. mark my word. if the Cowboys pass, it will be a big mistake.

He will not be there in the 2nd round.we either get him in the first, or we don't get him.

I said I doubt he will and if he isn't, then don't get him. In my mind he isn't worth 18th overall pic.

Did you think A. Rodgers was worth the 20th pick(where we drafted Marcus spears) how did that turn out for us?
