Lol, the Chiefs went 50 years between Super Bowl wins. The difference is the Chiefs are proven winners and we are proven losers

This right here is the biggest reason I see for Big Mike on his final year and Dak flapping in the wind as of now on his final year.We all know Jerry Jones could sell sand in the desert. There is no doubt he is as gifted a businessman and salesman there is. But his playoff record also shows he is not a GM who understands how to put a championship roster together in the salary cap era. We have receipts.
The 28 straight seasons with not even a divisional playoff win and somehow JJ is still running this team with a tight grip has decreased fan base optimism like never before.
Don’t take my word for, there is a recent fan base survey that shows exactly that. A survey conducted this summer by the pay site The Athletic (why I can’t link it) shows that only 19.9% of Cowboys fans are optimistic about the 2024 season. That’s 31st in the league, only behind giants fans. Wow! So JJ and SJ clearly know after the most embarrassing playoff loss in team history last January, and the evidence in this survey that this Cowboys fan base is as angry and frustrated as I have ever seen it.
Here is a link to a Sports Illustrated article that is free on this topic: https://www.si.com/nfl/cowboys/news/dallas-cowboys-fans-pessimistic-entering-season-opener#:~:text=Despite%20winning%2036%20regular%20season,%2DO%2DMeter'%20poll.
As a result, we have seen and will continue to see a full court sales press by Jerry and Stephen. It’s one reason why JJ sat down for a long interview with Stephen A Smith. It’s why Stephen Jones is already carnival barking on his weekly radio show. He says the same things every year, he’s just using all the sales talking points earlier than usual. Expect the sales pitch to reach fever pitch early this season. I actually think JJ and SJ know the fans are fed up with them and that their credibility is on thinner ice than ever before.
Some will call this “pessimistic” or a downer, or “whining” but it’s just the reality of being a Cowboys fan right now. All this can change very quickly if the Cowboys have great season that includes winning at least a couple of playoff games. As a 60 year Cowboys fan, that’s what I deeply want.
Winning, especially in the playoffs, cures all ills. So advice to JJ and SJ: The only sales pitch that will work now is playoff wins (plural)
Really? You’re serious?Lol, the Chiefs went 50 years between Super Bowl wins.
Chiefs did have some good teams with Marty, Vermil, and now Reid.Lol, the Chiefs went 50 years between Super Bowl wins.
When is the punchline? We've waited 28 years so far.The joke may be on you.
Whataboutism is no excuse for your own failure.Lol, the Chiefs went 50 years between Super Bowl wins.
What are you going to say if that all changes this year? The Cowboys are a contender. I'm really interested in that happening and look forward to what you come up with.
The Chiefs were within an eyelash of not having a championship roster. You might have noticed that they were struggling during parts of the season. It happens, like when they lost to the Bucs when they ran out of offensive tackles.
Yea but it probably won’t!The joke may be on you.
Playoff wins = what matters. This is where I’m at Bob.
Talk is cheap. I’m tired of the Jones and their snake oil sales.
I’m not going to believe any of the BS they’re selling. All that matters are the results, until they actually show they can make a playoff run. I’m not going to expect it to happen.
Yeah, and having the guts and wisdom to move on from Alex Smith to Mr Mahomes changed that pattern of losing in the playoffsLol, the Chiefs went 50 years between Super Bowl wins.
And if they do make a deep run, that will make you go into the following season thinking this will be the year?I wont believe until we actually mk a deep playoff run. Speculation, hope, etc means nothing 28 years later. Show me.
Count me in the group of fed up fans....We all know Jerry Jones could sell sand in the desert. There is no doubt he is as gifted a businessman and salesman there is. They do not win because of them, but yet if they do win, they had nothing to do with it.The Jones Boyz are a joke. If we have playoff success it will be in spite of them, not because of them...
Of course we will all be happy if that somehow, all of a sudden happens
I've been hoping so for decades now. You'd think eventually one of these years just based on the blind squirrel finding a nut theoryThe joke may be on you.
Horsecrap. I give them credit for what they do right. That doesn't mean they have a clue about the big picture as every single free agency season shows and now even waiting to sign their stars until it becomes a drama show which they just love because it's publicity even if it creates issues. The fans like you who take it for decades and still make excuses for them over and over are the problem. They laugh at you all the way to the bank. You are the type of fan that embarrasses the fan base by proclaiming how great we are every year and how great our ownership is. This is the year!!! Again...They do not win because of them, but yet if they do win, they had nothing to do with it.
The hypocrisy on here is insane.
Some of the Worst fans in the NFL.
You are so off based about me. You are the type that embarrasses the true fans.Horsecrap. I give them credit for what they do right. I honestly don't think the Jerry micromanagement style will ever produce a team capable of a deep playoff run. Almost thirty years of evidence coupled with Jerry doubling down with “all in” nonsense while our nfc east rival outspends Jerry by $100 million tells me all I need to know. And if they do make a deep run, that will make you go into the following season thinking this will be the year?
I get it. I’ve been a skeptic for over ten years. Like you said, talk is cheap. Show me. How hard is it to reach the conf championship game in the salary cap era with almost 30 years to do it? Too hard for this org as long as a Jones owns the team. This is where I’m at Bob.
