Wait, what happened to McFadden being the savior, I thought he was going to cure all our RB issues?

I think our most viable trade options for a respectable RB would be:

Hanna - Not sure what he would bring but a complete TE who plays ST may be attractive to a team.

Escobar - I would hate to lose him but he may be our best bait for a starter quality RB

Jeremy Mincey - Rush ends are premium maybe we could sell high?

Devin Street - Another nice game and maybe he becomes attractive

I'm just looking at options with the least team impact. Please offer opinion on what these guys could bring or someone that could bring us a RB in a trade.

madden killed the game.

missing some TC or the first PS game isnt a big deal, even in this PS 2 the starters usually only do one or 2 possessions.
They might play him more now and randle just to take a look, but it is still just a ps game where the other team may not be playing starters.
and they may play rookies etc.
So how randle or mcf, or dunbar look in a PS game is deceptive.

It's not just about the games. Its about being available for practice. McFadden hasn't been since he's been here. If you're a head coach, how do you feel about that? And do you really think this RB situation was Garretts's doing? He wanted Murray back. No doubt. You think once he new that wasn't going to happen that he was jumping up and down to get McFadden? McFadden has Jerry all over it. Big name, from Arkansas.

I don't think Garrett is on board with Randle either. But Randle is at least mostly an unknown with potential to be an average at best back. Average can get us to the Super Bowl. But to even be average he has to stay healthy and know the playbook. And of course, stay out of trouble.

The draft didn't fall their way in terms of running back. Chaz Green was questionable. It would have been nice to get a running back in that spot. But if Green can prove to be a valuable swing tackle, then it was probably worth it.

So they stayed pat and didn't pick anyone probably knowing full well the landscape of what will be available at the end of training camp. They know much better than we do who potentially will be cut, who could potentially be available in a trade, etc. Their thinking is that they would rather trade for a guy who's been in the league a year or two then to spend that same pick on a rookie.

There will be running backs available later that can help this team.

I would throw a late round pick to the Bills for Karlos Williams. I would especially jump on him at cuts.

We need some RB's in the worst way, we were down to 1 the other night. We might want to go heavy on RB's for the rest of camp then have a big cut and put 3 on the practice team.

Yes, he would. But he's probably their number 2 or even their 1.

Start looking at guys like Hillman, Jeremy Stewart or Kapri Bibbs.

Hillman looked like their best back. He is not going anywhere. I think Ball is more likely to hit the road.

Why would they trade or cut him?
They just burned a 5th rd pick on him this year and they like him.

Bryce Brown could be the odd man out there, however.

Expect RBs Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar to return to practice Saturday and maybe even RB Joseph Randle: McFadden is scheduled to practice for the first time in training camp Saturday. He’s missed the first few weeks with a strained hamstring. The Cowboys have taken it slow with McFadden considering his long injury history. Dunbar, who has been out with a sprained ankle, is also expected to return to practice Saturday. And the Cowboys could also have Randle return to team drills after he’s been limited with a strained oblique muscle.

Numbers.

McCoy, Jackson, Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown are ahead of him on the depth chart. Not many teams can afford to carry five RBs.
