He's really not all that old, relative to some other qbs who play well beyond romos years, but his body can't take hits. So he's got about -2 years left.

This shouldn't even be a question. We need to draft a QB with our top 5 pick. Unfortunately the FO is way to stubborn and incompetent to do it. I fully expect to see a CB or OLB drafted.

Draft a quarterback in the first next year. Let him sit behind Romo for one season. If Romo goes down throw the rookie in. Can't afford to not draft a qb with the position they will be in this off-season.

<Most> QBs don't play into the late 30s as productive starters.

Elway, Favre, Brady, and Manning make people think anybody can do it. It's actually pretty rare.

That's true. I guess I just always subtract Romos 3-4 few years since he didn't play right away...or at least wasn't taking consistent hits.

Body catcher and Free have been exposed. Smith regressed. Witten is aging, quickly.

Letting Murray go was the correct move, IMO, but the contingency plans didn't work out.

Romo gets hurt.

It was a terrible combination.

I was talking just O line. Thanks for making my stomach feel worse.:(

I have to wonder if a short week like this weekend and last Thanksgiving, where he stunk it up, are too much for his back. He looked scared to me at times and played to not get hit.

There are anywhere between 3-4 "short weeks" for a team like the Cowboys playing lots of national TV games.

Should the Cowboy should sit Romo for just those games?

;)

No, I am afraid he is close to being done. Sad to say.

Romo is amazing. not because of today or this season but hes played great for many years. covering a bunch of our junk that these coaches hide behind him.

its truly sad bc i think Romo will probably not get to be a champ in this league. he looked old today, that throw downnfield to dez , he looked like in pain getting that ball downfield. hes at that stage old "soon to retire" qBs hit where they arent seeing the field correctly and throw ducks up for grabs.

im with yall, draft a QB.

Whatever years Tony has left...you can just add to the other years before them that were wasted by the owner/GM who didn't provide the line or D that could have helped him. And you know what? That sucks. Witten and Romo years wasted. That sucks.

I have some feelings right now that rival the day a certain person let Tom Landry go the way he did.
