There have been several SUPERSTARS that have ended up on multiple teams- Deion is just one. SO that takes care of THAT one. And Bledsoe never was a superstar. He was a very good QB, sometimes better then that.

Winicki, when YOU have some facts to just MAYBE convince someone other then a 3 week old dead dog that you have a point, then try again. You Bledsoe haters are just like all other player haters- they can never do anything right. I feel the same way about Q and Hambone- but then they deserve it.

Well look at you!

Nice comparison... Deion and Bledsoe... OMG. I guess you're a politician in real life.

Hating someone and having no confidence in them based on their history, are two different things. If Bledsoe wins us a trophy this year then I will be very happy. I just have a feeling he won't, so I will hope for the best and expect the worst. It helps keep the dissapoinment down.

McNabb Playoff Stats Pass/Rushing/ Record
249 419 2630 18 TD 12 INT / 63 362 3 TD/ 7-5
129 252 1335 6 TD 12 INT / 13 7 0 TD/ 4-3
Bledsoe Playoff Stats^

There's the facts, for anyone to say Bledsoe proved himself superior to McNabb in the playoffs would be living in a fantasy world.

Well Brmfrd, Answer, Austin...

We've got several folks that seem to make up a large section of "Fantasy World".

ok... anyone who puts Drew Bledsoe over Peyton Manning is a complete idiot. Plain and simple.

P. Manning- Rating of 93.5
D. Bledsoe- rating of 77.5
Both have 244 TDs... but Bledsoe has been in the league for 5 more years... yeah but Bledsoe should really be in the number 2 spot ahead of Manning. :laugh2:

Even to say that hes ahead of Roethlisberger who has a rating of 98.3 is insane... "The Answer".... you're an idiot.

McFlabb has played better then BLedsoe in most of his games up till the last year or so. BUT was not this thread all predicated on things as they are NOW?
ANd I still maintain that BLedsoe does not choke like McFlabb. I would also point out that Bledsoe was in the playoffs with really good teams only twice- he brought the Patriots through (in the Champ game)to their first SB under Little Bill. Except for the SB under big bill I would say that McFlabb has had the better TEAM around him. And we do remember that that makes a fair amount of difference, right?

That was my point- any QB cannot be really evaluated untill he has had at least 4-5 playoff games

How dare you toss one of brdfds posts back at him!

He likes to deal in the world of "smoke & mirrors".... the less he can be tied to the better. ;)

when comparing QB's you have to picture them on each others teams... for example how would have farve faired (knowing the Dallas system) last year compared to Bledsoe than think how Bledsoe would have faired in Farve's situation in GB...that is about the fairest way I can think of to do it...but it is very subjective and open to individual interpetation... calling someone stupid for what they perceive as a truth...would be...well it would be a very stupid thing to do...If you wish to convince someone that their position is wrong on the matter...try and do so with facts and figures or begging if you have to but bullying and a lack of civility is... well...stupid...

My top 10:

1. Tom Brady - Until proven otherwise he is the best. When in doubt follow the Rings.

2. Peyton Manning - If he had rings he would unquestionable be #1.

3. Ben Roethlisberger - AFC Championship game rookie year and Super Bowl victory in 2nd year. Just because Steelers do not ask him to throw 30+ a game does not mean he can not.

4. Carson Palmer - Kind of uncomfortable putting him #4 since I am basing this on one year and coming off a severe injury.

5. Donovan McNabb - Without McNabb Philly never sniffes 4 straight NFC Championship games and a Superbowl.

6. Trent Green - If not for a injury he would be wearing Kurt Warner's Super Bowl ring. Career 88.2 QB rating, Career 60.7 completion %, 150 TDs to 92 INTs.

7. Matt Hasselbeck - Not very exciting but gets the job done.

8. Marc Bulger - Not sure if he could do what he is doing in St. Louis any where else, but he plays for St. Louis and does an admirable job.

9. Drew Brees - Has only been performing at a high level for two years, but is young. Big year coming up in New Orleans.

10. Daunte Culpepper - Will the real Daunte please stand up? Not sure how or when he will come back from the injury, but his first 6 years can not be discounted until proven that they should be discounted.

Top 10 QBs who could move way up the list by the time the next NFL season is concluded:

1. Drew Bledsoe - Make or break year. No excuses.

2. Byron Leftwich - The guy looks like he is on the verge of something big.

3. Jake Delhomme - Not going to be a great stats guy, but could prove himself to be a winner.

4. Chris Simms - Will be his 3rd year in the NFL. Has the tools to be elite, will the lights go on?

5. Michael Vick - Will he put it all together for once? I doubt it, but he is certainly capable.

6. Eli Manning - See Chris Simms.

7. Joey Harrington - I know, I know. Other than Barry Sanders who has looked good in Detroit in quite some time? Could be the starter for a good Miami team.

8. Jake Plummer - Has it all except for consistency when it counts the most.

9. Mark Brunell - I dont think physically he can move up to the upper echelon, but we will see.

10. I am really having trouble coming up with a 10th. I have stretched the list thin as it is.

MY TOP 10:

1-Peyton Manning-I know alot of people think Tom Brady is better because of superbowl wins but its not about superbowl wins its about the position and I think he is the best at the QB position. Mainly because he call the plays, the receivers know what he is going to do without hime saying anything, thats what you call a QB!

2-Tom Brady-He is a good QB definately and has 3 superbowl rings to show for it!

3-Carson Palmer-HE is great! He reminds me alot of Peyton Manning. Last season he was arguable the best QB in the league. Inury plays a huge role.

4-Donavan McNabb-You can say what you want to say about him. He was getting the job done before the Eagles signed T.O. He is a great athlete. I believe he is on the downside of his career. All the running is starting to catch up with him, just like Michael Vick.

5-Dante Culpepper-Has a down year last year after an injury but he has great skills, but I still believe he is a top 5 QB in the league until proven other wise.

6-Matt Hasselbeck-He was the best QB in the NFC last year, but he had no competition being the 2 QBs ahead of him went down with injury but he is a still a good QB but if you had Shaun Alexander in your backfield, I would hope you would be also

7-Brett Farve-Future Hall of Fame QB, last season was miserable but because he has had such a hell of a career, he has to be a top 10 QB.

8-Drew Bledsoe-He gets the job done and thats mainly what you want of a QB. He had a decent year last year considering he had to run from defenders all the time. He was still one of the best QBs in the NFC last season.

9-Jake Delhomme-He is another decent QB that gets the job done. He doesnt do anything special just gets it done which once again is all you can ask for. He knows how to win big games.

10-Trent Green-He has a hell of an arm! He is a good QB but I believe he is on the downside of his career also, but he will always put up the numbers same with Kurt Warner

Just Missed:
11-Drew Brees-He has had good years but lets see how he does without LT & Antonio Gates

12-Byron Leftwich-You have got to give him some credit, he doesnt get much recognition but he gets the job done, just mot a top 10 QB yet.

13-Jake Plummer-He is a good game manager just dont let the game be on his shoulders.

14-Mark Brunell-He had a great year last year, but he is one dimensional.

15-Mark Bulger-Before injury he was great.

On my top 10 I went by QBs I would want on my team if it came down to a game winning drive and all the Qbs I put in my top 10 have proven to me they can lead you to a win! Alot of people will probably wonder why Ben Roethlisberger is not even mentioned the fact is this, HE HAS NEVER WON A GAME OF HIS OWN BY LEADING THEM DOWN FIELD, PITTSBURGH IS A DOMINATELY RUN TEAM, AND MANY GAMES IN WHICH HE HAVE STARTED HE HAS ONLY THROWN THE BALL 15 OR LESS TIMES! SO UNTIL OTHERWISE I BELIEVE HE IS A GOOD GAME "MANAGER" BUT DEFINATELY NOT THE BEST QB IN THE LEAGUE. HISTORY SHOWS YOU DONT HAVE TO BE A TOP 10 QB IN THE LEAGUE TO WIN A SUPERBOWL RING!

McNabb has always been chunky and still effective. 2 seasons ago he was utterly dominant with TO there. Last season he still played well, regardless of the injury, until the last game he played (where Westbrook took over and Roy grabbed it).

But everyone always talks about his overrated passing, yet his number just don't justify it. For some reason he still makes completions and TDs, and throws more of those than INTs. If you do that once or twice, overrated is a good word. But he's done this for half a decade. If he plays uninjured and still shows decline, he will slip. But I for one am not going to forget 4 years of Eagles domination over the NFCE just because of one season.

yeah but he's chunkier now and I'm anxious to see if he can return from his injury and be able to scramble like he used to. I don't think he will.
Maybe he still put up decent numbers and I understand that you still remember the iggles winning the division when it was garbage but I will continue to remember his inability to win the big one, his essential quitting in the big game (too tired in the super bowl? are you kidding me?), and his inability to reign in his team in the lockerroom.

No he was not. Patriots nation wanted any QB but Bledsoe. They were calling for the likes of Michael Bishop and were elated when Brady took over.

Hope you do not mind the thoughts of a true Patriots fan.

Bledsoe and Parcells early in the '90's were a blessing to our team. We were on the throws of not even being an NFL city. So on that note, I say thank you.

Both people in this argument are correct. Bledsoe was great in the first few years. But the on again, off again started to wear on true football fans such as myself.

Me, I grew up a Cowboy fan. Then when we moved to New England, I got myself some season tickets to the Pats. Little by little, it happened. I became a die-hard Pats fan. That was in the late '70's folks. I didn't care what the record was, I went (I am a season ticket holder), I saw, I enjoyed.

Bledsoe got old (not meaning old, but on again, off again). Really old. Who will show up this week. I wanted him out long before he left. But in response to another person that answered this, there were others who were die-hard Bledsoe fans. Didn't matter what the guy did, it was Bledsoe, Bledsoe, Bledsoe.

So you are both right. In New England, there were folks like me that wanted him GONE. And Brady (well can you say we got lucky). By the way, I give all the credit to Weiss for his development. But now. Gee, did we get lucky.

But there were others. My grocer. When Bledsoe went to Buffalo, he said he was now a Buffalo fan (ugh). Die-hard Bledsoe fans.

So there was a mix in New England. Pro and con. Me, I was con and happy, happy to see Brady in.

By the way this same stuff went on in Buffalo. Die hard -- pro and con.

You guys too. Same thing.

For me, it is easy. Bledsoe = Manning. When the stakes are on the line. Please do not hold your breath. No heart. No steel. Not going to happen.

Yes, we got lucky with Brady. Darn lucky. But I am happy with no Bledsoe because --- YES -- I knew what was coming -- excuses.
