Trade Parsons

So you’re going to trade him because we need a volume of pass rushers? If you’ve been watching the games, we need players who can stop the run. Our strength has been rushing the passer but because we can’t stop the run teams don’t have to throw much. Lamar Jackson and Derek Carr combined for 31 passing attempts against us. Dak was forced to attempt 51 passes yesterday because we have no running game.
Pass defense is a bigger problem than the run defense. 31 pass attempts and 5 completions of more than 30 yards and an overall y/a of 13.5 lol

"Players who can stop the run" are irrelevant because if you can't rush with 4 then teams are going to throw all over the place anyway. Limiting passrushers on the field why the Cowboys can't generate any pressure on 1st and 2nd and keep giving up massive plays through the air.

He’s not making our defense better and has been a virtual no show so far this season. He’ll be looking for close to $40 million per season next year. He’ll be a training camp holdout. He only has one sack in our first 3 games and opponents have figured out how to neutralize him. He’ll be lucky to have double digit sacks this season with teams running the ball all day. He’s not making as many eye popping plays as he did his first couple of seasons and he continues to wear down. It’s just been reported our run defense is the worst through 3 games in the last 60 years in the NFL. Parsons says he only wants to play until he’s 30. He’s talking about being in the Olympics in four years. He doesn’t love football. We need to see what kind of haul we could get for him in a trade. We need to build the DL with a solid DT and add a quality RB.
Yeah let's trade away our best player, a generational pass rush talent.....great idea.

Maybe if Dak and the offense could give the defense a lead, he could pass rush Einstein

Jerry has made it clear we will pay him anything he wants, and he'll use that for justifying doing nothing next FA.

His trade value is probably the highest it ever will be. He's coming off two consecutive seasons with 15+ sacks and the DPOY runner up. If he has a 5-sack season and is a liability against the run, then his value will plummet next season.
First of all he's never had a 15 sack season what....if he had say 18 maybe his value is at an all time high but do people realize when they start posts like this, and they're criticizing a player and then think his trade value is at an all-time high even though maybe NFL pro scouts can see more then fans do??? which is it, hes overrated or has high trade value?

You have to actually watch the video to say that though lol. Or maybe my ego comment was on target.
I don't. I've seen his videos and followed him for years. He just says things. He has no special insight.

It also has nothing to do with the post quoted soooo

We're saying he's part of the problem not the main issue.
They are all part of the problem. All of them.

When Parsons gets his big contract then people can put more blame on him ....... but there are a ton of guys making a lot more money than him on this defense that are playing like trash.

They just do not have a podcast (which is what really bothers everyone)

He would be able to rush the passer if we could stop the run. Pretty hard to get a lead when the defense can’t stop anyone and keeps giving up TDs on the opponents opening possession. Keep blaming Dak and ignore the fact the Cowboys currently have a historically bad defense. With the poor DL we have it’s limiting Parsons effectiveness. We would be better off defensively if we had a generational DT. The last two QBs we faced attempted only 31 passes combined because we can’t stop the run. Parsons is having virtually no impact in these games we’re getting beat. We traded our best player in 89 because his effectiveness was being limited because of how bad we were. Trading him paid off.

Pass defense is a bigger problem than the run defense.
You actually believe our pass rush is a bigger problem than our run defense that’s been the worst the NFL has seen in 60 years? Are you serious? WOW!:lmao:

As soon as your able to stop the run you won't be able to stop the pass and rush the passer. I don't think some of you "fans" understand how hardbitbis to find a player who's able to rush the passer like Parsons. Has been able to not really because teams aren't passing much. You HOPE to add" Quality" and. Rb position that most of yall said didn't even matter! Lol that's not good enough to trade a guy like Parsons. You guys are just mad!!
We’re going to get bullied every week if we don’t shore up the run defense. The losses are going to start piling up. We have pass rushers. That’s what the Cowboys are built to do but they’re getting blown off the ball up front. Parsons is being neutralized by our inability to stop the run. Parsons is our best pass rusher but we’re going to have to make a sacrifice to fix the run defense. We need to fix the DL and trading him could allow us to do that. By the way I NEVER said the RB position didn’t matter. I’ve been saying we need a quality back and trading Parsons could help us acquire one. We need to add some players.

Sorry, brother, Micah clearly told the front office he wanted Mazi Smith to be drafted last year (2023). That was the "beast on the DL" Micah wanted drafted to play in front of him...

Micah and his decision making is part of the problem.

lol so now we are blaming Micah for the FO drafting a bust at DT. Lollll come on man.

Micah isn’t a scout. Micah was justified in wanting help at DT. But the FO and scouts are the ones that have to find and acquire them.

Okay, you said our pass defense is a bigger problem than our run defense which is still a ridiculous comment. How could anything be a bigger problem than our historically bad run defense? That’s all everyone is talking about. Our run defense is HORRIBLE! How can you not see that? Our pass defense is ranked 14th and our run defense is ranked dead LAST. After three games it’s the worst the NFL has seen in 60 years and you’re saying our pass defense is a bigger problem?

He’s a non factor rn. there’s nothing to pass rush. teams can just run it down our throats and parsons helps very little w that.

He is nothing more then a pass rush specialist at this juncture and not worth his eventual price tag. I know it's hard to get rid of such an elite talent, but I agree the time is now to get as much compensation as possible. Certainly the defense will take a huge step back, but they need to rebuild the unit.
