Trey Lance trade is one of the worst moves Jerry has ever done

You are also cutting Grier so there is an opportunity cost plus it may mean we have to carry Lance on the 53 meaning we lost a potential player at another position…
Who will miss grier and to be blunt ONE spot on the roster is not a big deal.

It’s just sad that the team played well last night and all I see are posts fighting about Lance vs Dak. Mazi and Schoonmaker played really well and have seen not one post.
Sorry but Mazi did not play real well. Schoon was OK but nothing more

I hope Lance works out and becomes as good as to where he was drafted. Not thrilled with the timing right before the season opener and not telling MM about it. Another bonehead move by Jerry.
I haven’t been online since last night… I haven’t heard the thing about MM not knowing, although it isn’t surprising if they did it all in one phone call like Jerry said.

How do we know MM didn’t know?

We are here man and honestly they are just a really loud minority, they come in 5 man waves its kinda funny because you can actually hear them barechest bumping when they think the "Dak Zinger" they typed is really good. They also are down for a good JG butt slapping for each other when they move a goalpost nicely.
Yeah I would actually try to give those yahoos the benefit of the doubt but when I noticed they only seemed to post when Dak would have a bad game. Or wait until a playoff loss to declare Dak sucks. Now the talk shows figured out how to grow their ratings/stay relative, trash Dak.

Apparently some don’t get tired about crying about the QB position no matter what side of the fence they’re on. Looking forward to Tuesday. Cuts should bring some new topics. I agree there are plenty of other things to discuss like Smith and Schoonmaker!

Watch his presser after the trade. Watch Jerrys interview where he said he didn’t tell anyone.

And that’s say a lot. There was absolutely no reason to make this trade at this time in the year for another QB. He’s probably not going to play at all this season. All it does is create QB controversy with the haters who actually believe that he’s better than Dak. And what’s worse, MM had no idea about the trade until it was already done. Dumb move by the ownership. Just horrible timing right before the season opener.
There's no controversy.

One of the worst moves....EVER? Really?

Not sure how wrong someone can be, but you are trying for the top spot.
Work harder and you'll get there!

Jerry said he didn't.
Okay, thanks. Jerry said they did it all in one phone call, and Lance will only be third string, so it makes sense. They looked at all their scouting reports from when Lance was in the draft and made the decision…. All their scouts and McClay had a high opinion of the guy both on the field and in the locker room, so I’m not surprised they spent a pick as low as a 4th on him.

Mo Claiborne, Stephen Jackson, Roy Williams.

Jerry has made many trades that makes this one pale in comparison. The Amari trade was worse, as we had to pay him right away and it was a short term rental. Much worse.
I forgot about Mo’ Claiborne. Good call, yeah that was much worse. The reaction of this trade is as if WE traded 3 #1’s for him, we didn’t do that. It’s just a 4th.

And THAT is the main reason this TEAM will most likely NEVER EVER win anything significant again.... THE JONES FAMILY

Another con of this trade is that now the Cowboys have to carry 3 QB’s taking a position away from the likes of Luepke or Bass one of the other youngsters that have shown up.

If he actually traded for somebody good I'd be all for it. It just seems to me Lance is not going to do anything for us except keep us in the news. They're really going to have to develop him for him to even be a capable starter. The 49ers gave up on him so quickly after giving the moon to draft him and they didn't care if he went to a conference rival. That says something to me. Not only that I fear Jerry will try to waste years trying to make Lance a starter instead of going out and drafting a better QB himself.
Yes why no other teams traded for him? and the 49ers are the one who called JJ which makes someone to ask why ?

Thank you.

I try not to listen to Jerry directly man… it causes anxiety to mentally remove all of the “uh’s” and try to decipher what his crazy metaphors really mean.

It’s a solid move for a player with big potential. Man, everything really gets blown out of proportion around here! He’s not taking Daks job but by 2024 he could be the backup!
