Given that anything of a SB win you will discount I am not going to bother trying.I will ask one more time. What has Dak accomplished.

Lol not at all.And that’s say a lot. There was absolutely no reason to make this trade at this time in the year for another QB. He’s probably not going to play at all this season. All it does is create QB controversy with the haters who actually believe that he’s better than Dak. And what’s worse, MM had no idea about the trade until it was already done. Dumb move by the ownership. Just horrible timing right before the season opener.
How in the world is Lance an upgrade?Rush and Grier would easily make practice squad without getting picked up by another team.
Lance is an upgrade over both Rush and Grier and I don't see anything wrong with upgrading positions..... Even backups
I feel like if we heard that Trey was offered and Jerry and/or Stephen said we did our “due diligence” but didn’t make the deal and Trey ended in Philly, NY, or Green Bay we as fans would be fuming cuz our FO isn’t aggressive.I really don’t see why people are mad about losing a 4th. We have picked guys in the first round that turned out to be trash, and we’re worried about a 4th rounder? I have a feeling that if anyone in our division had got him for a 4th round pick, people here would be saying “Jerry’s stupid for not giving up a 4th rounder for him” lose, lose situation.
Relax, it’s a 4th round pick and young player who can develop. And that’s say a lot. There was absolutely no reason to make this trade at this time in the year for another QB. With all due respect, when has Dak ever had serious competition for his job In the last 7 years?. It does put pressure on Dak to perform and he seems to play his best when he has competition
Now that is a great point I hadn't considered.I didn’t like the move, because the only thing it did was FURTHER delay drafting Dak’s replacement.
This was a move with the potential to improve the Cowboys future prospects. It has nothing to do with this season and neither does a 2024 4th round draft pick anyway.
There are other "bums" who got traded in favor of a different quarterback. Some have already been mentioned.
Bret Favre was traded by the Falcons to the Packers. The Falcons considered him a bust. In his first season he threw 4 passes and two of them were intercepted. He attempted a fifth one that season and he was sacked.
Steve Young was traded by the Bucs to the 49ers because he was deemed a bust. In his first two seasons, he was 3-16 as a starter for the Bucs. He threw for 11 TD's and 21 INT's.
Trey Lance is in pretty good comapny when it comes to QB's given a 2nd chance on their careers.
Dallas trades for a recent #3 overall drafted QB who struggled with some injuries and play in SF and gets a fresh start.....something tells me this has more to do with the Dakfanatics defending Dak at all costs and keeping any competition away from Captain Mediocre.....just look back to last season when the Dakfanatics blasted Cooper Rush for his limited play in spite of leading Dallas to a 4-1 record while Dak was out.And that’s say a lot. “We very seldom ever talk to anybody, another player, about who we’re thinking about drafting or who we’re thinking about getting involved with,” Jones said. “We don’t do that.”The team didn't even inform Dak Prescott prior to the deal...must not have been relative to that status.
Arron Rogers had a mediocre year , for him, the year before they drafted his replacement. His next 3 years were fantastic. I don't care who ur qb is competition is always a good thing.Dallas trades for a recent #3 overall drafted QB who struggled with some injuries and play in SF and gets a fresh start.....something tells me this has more to do with the Dakfanatics defending Dak at all costs and keeping any competition away from Captain Mediocre.....just look back to last season when the Dakfanatics blasted Cooper Rush for his limited play in spite of leading Dallas to a 4-1 record while Dak was out.
So, you're hoping the team suffers, just to prove a point about Dak?"Your boy"? Dak hater to the core ^^^^.
I hope Dak gets let go after next season, and Cowboys Nation is forced to watch your new boy Lance try to duplicate (or come anywhere close) to what Dak has accomplished.
While it remains to be seen whether or not the QB room got better, it was a prudent move, simply because we know Grier isn't the guy, and Lance will be replacing him. There was an opportunity to improve the position. A previous top 5 pick for a 4th rounder. It’s a good move and the QB room got better. And there’s no controversy whatsoever. Could be a suitable long term backup!
