Against a coach from Sean McVay's tree. There's nothing wrong with saying both trees are highly respectable and effective. The Niners didn't have CMC and Deebo got banged up in the game too.
That was my point. You have to have the right personnel.

Our run game failures are more than just rb. A person as accomplished as you should be able to see that.

I'm not saying zeke is ace so halt right there. There's blocking, scheme and cohesive unit issues too.
I never said it was just RB. But it's the main issue

Some upcoming coach doesn’t make Jerry comfortable.

Honestly if I am looking for a young up and comer.

Ben Johnson from Detroit.

Kubiak is also a great idea.
bobby slowik needs to be on that list. he's got more time in than kubiak as OC.

Klint Kubiak.

I’ve had a large enough sample size of the Prescott/McCarthy combo to know it’s never going to work. McCarthy’s WCO is outdated and not a good fit for Prescott, and we’re committed to Dak for the next 3-4 years whether we like it or not. Is Dak a part of the problem? Absolutely, but he’s going to be here.

We need a young, innovative offensive mind from the Shanahan tree to come in and run this offense. The running scheme needs to be completely rewired and the coach needs to get the best out of Prescott.
Oh, I think I’ll wait till teams have 5 or 6 games worth of tape on this new offense before I go anointing Kubiak. Journeymen qb/passing game CO/ OCs don’t become offensive genius’ overnight too often in this league. Guessing once there’s sufficient tape out there this crashes just a bit!

Would love to get a guy like Kubiak.

But Jerry will never do it.

Kubiak is way too young.
JJ will never do it? Good one.

This is not about JJ anymore.

You will never lure up and coming coaches here. Those days are long gone.
The only ones we can attract are those who are old and over the hill. Who are looking for a last contract before they retire.

Jerry hired Garrett with no HC experience, so he COULD hire some young, upcoming coach. I hope he does. No more retreads please.

Saints would probably fire their HC over letting him leave if the offense plays like it has for the season, or for most of it.

I still think it's Bill B. He's desperate, he's a name, and it would irk Kraft if Bill has success here.

Typical Cowboys fan. Craves retreads and mediocrity.

lol. the vikings are starting the backup the niners didn't want. not really comparable. and the vikings have had that "mcvay tree coach" for a few years now and made no noise
Yeah, and the Vikings have a fantastic head coach that won games with Josh Dobbs last year. What's your point? They didn't have Addison or Hockinson either.

that you can't take anything from the game about the respective coaching trees. just and injury filled aberration.

I see two quality head coaches going up against each other, while the Cowboys have an uncompetitive HC that gets outcoached consistently in big games and playoff games. Go back and look at the coaching history in the Super Bowl. Once in a while you'll see a Mike McCarthy make it, but wait, he had a top 5-10 QB of all time in Aaron Rodgers. Same thing with Sean Payton. If you have an elite HC, it goes a long way, but I agree, personnel is huge too.

Everyone in the word knows its going to be Billicheck. Would have been this year but Jones doesnt want to pay McCarthy not to coach

Not a good fit for Prescott?
He cannot run.
He cannot throw outs.
He cannot throw into traffic.
All he can do is throw under 10 yds with consistency.
Linehan tried to move hin into the pocket and he was canned.

KM developed a short game with a lot of short crossing routes but after 3 seasons teams figured out how to defend it. KM gone.
Mike and Shott tweaked KMs offense and it worked for a season.
There is no magic bullet for Dak, he's been challenged and defensed.

Probably more so scheme; what do you think?
I'd say 80% talent issue, 20% scheme/play call issue. Over the last decade we've had Jason Garrett, Scott Linehan, Bill Callahan, Kellen Moore, Brian Schottenheimer, and Mike McCarthy either OC or calling the plays. Seems like there is a scheme change (or tweak) every couple of years. At what point do we just admit this team needs to do a better job of acquiring talent in the free agent market? This offense really doesn't have a threatening weapon after Ceedee Lamb for you to truly scheme around. Your RB trio right now are all pretty one dimensional players. I'm a huge Jake Ferguson fan but hes not a TE who can run up the seam and stretch a defense, so hes pretty limited as an underneath guy. You have some decent WRs past Lamb but really lack a true #2. Your OL I think can get better, but their dont have a reliable T at either spot and a rookie C who has barely played the position. I think with this many holes on the roster you can bring in any scheme you want, but it wont make much difference.

Bringing in a guy like Kubiak may be a good move, but they better be able to go get an Alvin Kamara type to come with him. They have to clean up the defensive issues or it doesnt matter either way, but I have to believe that this offense would be twice as fun to watch if we had a dual threat RB who we could get creative with, or a true secondary receiving target to roll coverages away from Lamb on occasion. We simply have the same issue on both sides of the football where we cant run the ball consistently against basic fronts and we cant stop runs against 2 receiver sets due to having too many one dimensional players.

Scheme changes are fine, but they come and go and typically only cover up your roster flaws for maybe a year at most until other teams catch on to what you're doing. Its all on tape, so its not like the Cowboys cant figure out why the Shannahan tree keeps blowing them off the field, I just dont think they have the players to stop it.

I said this multiple times during the game
