Two different players..limited role for both. Turpin has more experience and Duece is barely getting his feet wet. It'll take him some time, but I think he will eventually pass up Turpin.
If they gave Deuce more volume he would produce RIGHT NOW.

Turpin has more juice.

Deuce was stopped in his tracks against better players.

We've only seen one game so I'm projecting here but play along. It seemed the role we envisioned for Deuce Vaughn was given to Kavontae Turpin in the opener. He was the guy in the gadget role behind Pollard and the JAG that is Rico Dowdle.

There doesn't seem to be enough snaps to go around for the four of them so my question is this.

Would you rather keep it as it was on Sunday night since recency bias has Turpin finding the end zone in the opener and he's now probably an uber weapon around here or do you want that role to go to Vaughn?

Again, they can't possibly feed four. Deuce was the odd man out in the opener until the game was well over. Someone will be the odd man out on Sunday and going forward. So pick one.

I'm team Wonka worker myself.

Well, Turpin has more NFL experience so far, so Deuce I believe needs to work his way on how to play the game at this level.

One big hit on anybody could be catastrophic.
Please keepn in mind and understand that frame and body weight can be significant factors in NFL collisions. Players with larger frames and more body weight can often absorb hits better and deliver more forceful tackles.

Turpin has a small frame and very light in body weight.

If Vaughn doesn’t make some plays with the opportunities he gets he may not be back next season. He had 6 carries in mop up duty last Sunday night and didn’t do anything with them.

Lost me at … Rico is a JAG.
He was ever bit as good as Pollard.

However it was game one and Pollard 1st action since his injury.

Deuce did nothing, give me Turpin For now. But it was late in the game and NY knew we were going to run. Actually I want to see Ronald Jones over either at RB. Then go from there.

Plenty of football left. We shall see.

I like Turpin, but I see Deuce being much more useful. From what I've seen, he has more power and lateral agility. Turpin may have more top end speed, but Deuce is pretty fast too.

The real question is what do they do after this weeks game with the suspended RB is ready to return. Do they cut a FA signing? Does he replace Vaughn or Lupke on the 53.. my guess is they cut Lupke and put him on the PS either that or they cut the Jones and put him on the 53. I think Vaughn is safe, to much of a feel good story for Jones to allow hm to be cut at this point.

If they're only going to have three active in a game, special teams will be the decider, which I assume will mean Turpin is favored at least for a while.

Here it is guys. Would any back do anything with those carries? Go back and study the plays.
