I have seen where people were saying palmer turned us down, look at the position he is interviewing for with the Saints. If he had an offer here he would have taken it over that demotion. Seems to me Dallas didnt make an offer.

The Cowboys’ competition for Chris Palmer has increased with Sean Payton expected to interview Palmer today for New Orleans’ quarterbacks coach job, according to sources.

Payton, the Cowboys' former passing game coordinator, will call his own plays with the Saints and is seeking a coach to help formulate game plans.

Palmer interviewed with the Cowboys on Wednesday for an undisclosed spot on Bill Parcells’ staff and worked with Parcells, Drew Bledsoe and Terry Glenn in New England, and coached with Tony Sparano, the running game coordinator, at the college and NFL levels. He has also talked with the New York Jets.

If he is interviewing today, then why all the hoopla over him "already" taking the Saint's job????

Until now, I haven't hear an official word from anyone that Palmer had been hired or not by anyone.

no, Palmer stepped into the room, and had a flashback of his days coaching Parcells, and getting yelled at, simply said "no" and turned and walked out of the meeting

the hoopla resulted as Mickey supposed to have Said he was going to be saints OC and then an article appeared on the Cowboys website saying he was hired as the Saints OC. The Saints have now denied the hire, and the article from dc.com is gone.

If your theory is correct that doesn't say much about the horses in our stable.

I think it says more about who is going to get to play next year and who isn't. Whoever NO drafts (Lienhart) is going to be starting - and he'll be a very high profile pick. That is a lot different than developing #2 and #3 guys.

Right now teams think of Palmer as the guy who screwed up two #1 overall QBs -- you don't fix that perception by working with QBs who won't be hitting the field any time soon.
