Do any of those things support an descending player point of view?

In KC is was 4th string behind Isiah Pacheco, Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Exactly how many carries do you think he should have got?

He didn't have a 1000 yard season but he did get 978 yards in 2020 (5.1 ypc) but keep in mind TB also had Leonard Fournette there too.
Yes. His declining numbers are a fact. I just don't see any other way to fairly classify him at this time.

Is it possible he turns it around and has a decent season? Sure. But if so why didn't he do so last year when his competition was an undersized player (JM) & a rookie? I think they would have liked for him to have gotten quite a few while their running game was struggling.

I liked RoJo coming out of college and have rooted for him. (have had him in fantasy) I just don't see how a guy who has never been the clear #1 nor produced big #'s even on really good teams represents anything other than veteran insurance.

He plays for a great team and it’s not like he put up a ton of yards. However, he averaged 4.9 per carry. You’re not going to become a great team depending on someone else’s garbage.
Garbage? They aren't depending on anybody. They have 6 backs and are free to add as needed.

The RBs we had in 2015 were playing for their lives and it didn’t work out. The receivers we signed in free agency in 2018 were playing for their lives, but it didn’t work out. You can definitely end up stuck with someone if you don’t have the right player.
My goodness , they could get stuck with Elliott for 2 million.

Its almost like TC and preseason are used for something right?
Team building and accountability on the carpet level. Very productive. Over seas on deployment, practice runs were practiced so that there is no grounds for misunderstanding.

I'm kind of interested in James Robinson, since he was released. He may be done though, after the Achilles tear.

Rojo had a ton of potential only a couple seasons ago. In the right fit he could do really well for us. My only issue is not having someone better established behind a runner who's never been asked to be a full time starter.
Yeah, I don't think anyone is against Jones. It's that he hasn't really done much of anything the past two seasons. He has averaged more than 4 yards per carry in both of those seasons, so that's something, but neither Tampa nor Kansas City (especially) overly depended on him after he blew up in 2020 and averaged 5.1 YPC. That's concerning.

It would not be quite as concerning if our primary back wasn't coming off an injury and we had more competition for Jones than a late-round pick and a couple of UDFAs. May turn out fine (I like what I saw from Malik Davis last year), but not sure any of our backups have shown reason to be overappreciated instead of underapprciated.

Stick anyone in there and you’ll think they’ll play well. Lol
They will because there is more supply than demand. They have to play well to make the team.

I do think with no Zeke they will actually look at all the RB's in TC and Pre Season, whether they have the right one on the roster or not is to be seen. I'm not sure they Payed close attention to the 5th 6th guy when Zeke was here...could be wrong though.

It will be interesting because every back that plays in preseason actually has a chance to make the team.

JAG, I want Cook or Henry to complete the offense
I know this is an unpopular opinion to many on here but the big name RB has lead no team to a SB recently... it really is more about fresh legs and scheme... just my observation.

Vaughn is a gadget back? According to who? Certainly not anyone who knows him or anyone with the Cowboys. You don't lead college football in total yards being a gadget back.
Donnell Pumphrey didn't just lead college football in yardage, he set the NCAA record for career rushing yards. And he never took a pro carry.
