Vaughn is a gadget back? According to who? Certainly not anyone who knows him or anyone with the Cowboys. You don't lead college football in total yards being a gadget back.
The NFL is light years from college ball. The things he did so easily in college will be far more difficult in the pros. I'll be surprised if he gets more than a handful of carries a game. BTW, many have called him a future "gadget back". His limitations are obvious. The playbook shrinks when he takes the field. The kid almost went undrafted, and might have if not for "family" ties. Was he worth a late 6th? Sure, but let's not kid ourselves. I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong at the end of the season.

Schoon walked in a much better blocker. He is at least as good of a receiver.
Schultz is often ranked as one of the top 10 TE's in the league. I question whether a rookie, who is already missing time with an injury, can come in and be more productive than Schultz THIS season. Schoon has never taken a snap in the NFL.

Schultz's blocking improved dramatically over the years BTW. The bad blocker label was applied early, but folks need to re-evaluate. I would call him an average blocker now. Schultz's receiving statistics speak for themselves. Just let me know when Schoon achieves more.

They will because there is more supply than demand. They have to play well to make the team.
To make a team you have to be one of the top two or three players at a position in camp. It doesn’t mean they’re very good.

I do think with no Zeke they will actually look at all the RB's in TC and Pre Season, whether they have the right one on the roster or not is to be seen. I'm not sure they Payed close attention to the 5th 6th guy when Zeke was here...could be wrong though.
They’ll definitely give them all an opportunity. It’s going to come down to regular season games whether they can get it done in those critical situations. If they can’t the Cowboys may be looking for who’s available on the street or for trade.

I just don't see how a guy who has never been the clear #1 nor produced big #'s even on really good teams represents anything other than veteran insurance.
That's all he is here for. He is a backup. That is what they are for - insurance. True at all positions.

BTW he was the clear #1 in TB in 2020. You know, the year they won the super bowl!

Might not get drafted? Vaughn was the #1 guy on the Cowboys board when they drafted him.

Don't be fooled, Schultz was an under-perforfming TE when it came to blocking. He was a top 10 TE because Dak threw to him so much. They rank TE's on receiving. Notice the Cowboys didn't make a serious effort to keep him and drafted one instead? They wanted to improve the blocking!!!

Schoon wasn't drafted to be more productive than Schultz this year. Why would you even say something like that??? Makes no sense. He won't get near the targets Schultz did.

"Schoon has never taken a snap in the NFL." Thanks for the update. I'm writing that one down.

The guy wears a Super Bowl ring.

That's refreshing. We should keep him around just to remind Cowboys players what a SB ring looks like.

i think if this offensive line can do what it's capable of then it won't matter who is carrying the ball.

It doesn't mean they are bad either. I actually believe that Davis is good. I believe that Luepke can be good. I believe that if they make the team, they will be good.

Vaughn went higher in the draft than Pacheco did.

I'm guilty........

His Youtube highlights

Zeke gets tackled for a 4 or 5 yard gain on that one. Or he takes it right up the middle for a 1 yard loss right in the back of one of his lineman.

Jones is a solid back and an upgrade over Zeke, but I wanted better and expected better as a 2nd or 3rd back.

As we should be concerned, so how is that trolling?
We need to see that in real games. not past games for past teams.
Yet you havent seen that in years from Zeke and you were still calling him a top 5 RB going into last year.

One can only speculate as to whether or not he would have been drafted had Dallas not done so. We'll never know. Probably???

I've never seen this level of hype for a late 6th. It would be unusual for a late 6th to even make the team, and even more unusual for a playoff team with a deep roster.

I want Mahomes to complete the offense.

Cooks wants too money and Henry would cost to many draft picks.

What else ya got?
Not sure we know either of those. What if you could get Cooks for 5-6m or Henry for like a fourth round pick?
Prices should cool down.

I know this is an unpopular opinion to many on here but the big name RB has lead no team to a SB recently... it really is more about fresh legs and scheme... just my observation.
Well some teams had a Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes. We don’t. We need a dominant running attack and while Pollard is great, giving him the ball 20x per game is not going to be good for him. You have another home run hitter back there and we don’t have to rely solely on Dak to win games, which has been our downfall every playoff loss.

Yah, we all wish we had your football knowledge.

After Zeke got cut, cant find a job and Pollard made the pro bowl you look like a real genius.
:rolleyes::lmao:
Always trying to stir the pot, but you have no pot to stir. You are just twirling your stick in the air.
As you have no knowledge that makes any sense.

Yes Zeke was released, but he still is in your head 24 / 7. You can’t let it go.

There is no doubt that he will make the team. How many 6th rounders play for the Cowboys now?

Pollard and Zeke!!

Never has there been any argument that a poster has lost more badly then you on those two players.

Are you still trying to act like you nailed that argument?

I don't have to let anything go. Heck there are Zeke threads all the time on here. Pollard is still a Cowboy

Only one to blame here is yourself.
