I'm a USC fan, and while I never saw anything great from Mays in coverage, I'll also say I didn't see him getting beaten for TDs either...I believe teams stayed away from him, which may account for fewer pass opportunities.

He is a big hitter with a ton of speed and athletic ability...time will tell on football skills, but he is a much better athlete than Roy W. was.

He'll be long gone before Dallas picks because he is one of the rare safeties that has the flexibility to play both positions and the size to possibly play nickle LB.

Personally, I could even see him playing SS with Sensabaugh moving to FS.

Time will tell...unless there's a top notch DL or ILB, we're likely to go OL or S with the 27 pick...of course, you never know until after FA.

He had 14 career INTs, 2 Forced Fumbles, 241 Tackles, 3 TDs and 3 sacks in 3 years.

I don't see what's wrong with admitting you like Mays or that Berry is one hell of a player. If I had the #2 pick and Suh was gone he would be my pick. It's a shame you can't see that Berry has a lot to offer. Could he bust? Of course, every player could. But the odds are he will be a pretty good defender. He sure is well thought of by football experts. When you say "I don't see" all you're doing is exposing a pre-conceived bias for someone else. In this case your "dog" Mays. Nothing wrong with liking Mays better, but it is stupid to downplay Berry just because you do.

That kind of crap is why people don't take you seriously.

i dont see why hes so *special*. that word when given to him bothers me. when i watch him i dont see polamalu or reed. i see an antrel rolle. pro bowl caliber player but not a game/defense changer. if you think that is what he is going to be then you will be in for a surprise imo

He has to eventually be one of the 2 best safeties in the game to validate picking a Safety that high.

It's not total B/S. Look at the caliber of talent in the SEC. Look at his stats. Look at his awards. Look at his body of work and complete skill sets. He is as close to Ed Reed as anyone that has come out in a long time. He will test even better then Sean Taylor did and put up stats that you can't argue with.
