Doesn't that kind of take the fun out of it though? I would love to be able to watch all the episodes upon release like Netflix does, but shows like this are fun to discuss with others. You don't miss having discussions with others about the show?
a little bit, but not much because my GF doesn't like the show and I don't know anyone else who does except my GFs cousin who is so depressed over the last show, she wont speak to me about it. Lol, amirite?
So I'm not giving up much to gain the benefit of experiencing the entire season without being cliff hung to death (which causes me to lose interest and not enjoy a show).
On a side note, I really think the binge watch creates an entirely new type of viewer and an incredibly superior product and quite frankly, I'm spoiled rotten as a result. How can a story told in the confides of a 2 hour movie compare to a season binge watch of a show like the Game of Thrones? I dont enjoy movies as much as I used to now that a story can be much better told in a multi-episode series. RomComs and other simple stories are still enjoyable but subjects of any depth just cant be adequately covered in the time typically allotted to a movie.
I would have never been a Walking Dead fan were it not for the binge watch. I didn't get into it until after season 5, when I stumbled across the pilot, got hooked and spent the new two weeks binging on every episode available. I did the same thing with Breaking Bad, The Americans, Mr Robot and now I purposely do this with any shows I like.
