Ware Release: has the Organization Changed? ***Ware Mega Merge-place all Ware threads here please***

We have to eat his entire 8.5m cap hit already. Anything new would only add to that. If there was a deal to be done, it would've been done before his release.

No. You don't let that talent go unless you know he's done.

You have to let talent go when he's making $13M and his production is worth have of that. Nobody is saying he isn't a good player. He is. But he's not a $13M a year player. Ware wouldn't agree with a pay cut, so Jerry had no other choice.

The window for this team has been closed for three years now, why Jerry and so many fans haven't figured that out is beyond me....it's long past due for this team to be gutted and rebuilt from top to bottom....I would of traded Ware two years ago instead of over paying for aging players, it's a young man's game now, but Jerry will never learn, he thinks building a team form outside/in is the way to go, yet other good teams build from the inside/out......chasing 8-8 and a playoff birth with mediocrity and over paid aging core veterans isn't the answer, this isn't the 70's and 80's anymore...

Yes. In comparison, the Pats make this move much earlier. Jones finally figured it out. No more loyalty to overpriced vets!

Jerry statement is simply to cool down the fanbase who have their clubs and pitchforks ready and are heading for Valley Ranch.

I hope the guy gets a good deal on the open market. In a scheme in which his hand is off the ground, perhaps he can still help a club in some capacity. He's been a helluva performer here and I wish him well.

Some people seem to be forgetting the cap hit, even with him gone, plus the money paid to him at release. Bringing him back would add back onto that.

I don't believe so.

To me it was an obvious choice. I'll give them credit for actually going through with it but the decision was a no brainer.
