Unfortunate.. it's good for ppl to have options for where they choose to discuss Cowboys.

Half the people here are from the Silver Star Digest/Ranch Report/Cowboy HQ....Too bad that place had it's meltdown because of bad moderation. I actually have proof that the Ranch Report got infiltrated by an ExtremeSkins moderator...and banned all the long time Cowboy users....which killed the site. Supposedly Mike Fisher...https://twitter.com/fishsports took over the site to try and save it. IMO he's had little success. And it's too bad. That used to be a great place.

That sucks. Loose mod standards is another thing that killed CF. The staff area was utterly disfunctional.

BTW did you ever hear about the C-F hack from 2009? A Saints fan that was a pro hacker completely wiped out the board right after we beat the Saints. I mean everything was gone. Admins had to rebuild the site, everyone had to re-register and try amd remember what their post was so the Admins could manually change.

For an IT guy, Josh had an awful lot of issues with hackers. We got hacked at least a couple times a year lol

It seemed like for a while it was at about 60% to 70% of what it was but just kept shrinking instead of growing. Alot of posters were fed up with the lack of security

Dude the site LITTERALLY got wiped clean. All you could see when you went on was a taunt from the hacker on the front page.

Good job outing yourself as a former banned member back with a new identity.

You joined in August of 2015. I haven't posted here, except to report sonnyboy's death, in almost a year, and I have not posted here regularly since 2012.

Oh, and for the record, I got in trouble here the same as anyone else. I have been benched one more than one occasion. cbz40 ripped me a new one in the Mod Forums on more than one occasion. Juke99, jterrell, brainpaint, and several others set me straight on multiple occasions. We all have bad days.

I am not on this staff any more. I have no reason to defend them. They are a great group of people who bend over backwards for a lot of fans who don't appreciate the work they do...for free. I said above we all have bad days, I am telling you from personal experience these Mods are good people.

99 times out of 100 the people who get banned, suspended, benched, or infractions have crossed personal lines. Naturally they don't see it that way. Therein lies the rub. In all my time on this site I never saw a Mod go after someone. I saw plenty go after the Mods. At some point enough is enough, but what Reality said about how much he hates to ban people is true. We all hate it. I hated it. I am thrilled I don't have to do that any more.

There's a guitar and amp forum that I post on once in a while which the community proudly call themselves the "den of scum". Needless to say, they are pretty loose with what they'll allow to be posted there. But, they do have guidelines that must be adhered to. If your post doesn't fall within those guidelines it's moved. If your content is nothing but a string of troll content, you're banned. One warning, no exceptions.

The result? Exactly the forum that they want.

What forum is that? I happen to be a guitar player with several guitars and of course an amp. (and an (now one as the headstock snapped on the other) acoustic guitar) Of course, the fact that I just troll all the time (though not like most Internet trolls) they may ban me anyhow.
