I don't think Werder is lying, but he clearly making things look way worse than they truly are. This is something ESPN has ALWAYS done when it comes to TO.

Hyperbole is an excellent word, but I fear Werder's story does contain some level of veracity. As I said last night, Werder deserves criticism for the overzealous and exploitative manner in which he covers negative Cowboys news and his tendency to omit key facts. However, I wonder whether or not we're being overly harsh in our criticism.

I suspect there is an element of truth to this story but sports journalism, like media in general, is all about manufacturing as much drama as possible. Personally, I think the two deserve each other.

I don't doubt that ESPN makes things worse than they are, but there is clearly something wrong. I still say they need to find the snitch.
