Twitter: What does Eberflus credit for the defensive turnaround?

I mean I hear ya Thunder but at some point credit the opponent while also credit our dee. If for this specific game only.

Everybody ain't Mahomes. All those spins and escape jobs and mobile on the run downfield throws while outside the tackle box ain't in all other opponent QB DNA.

whar Im saying is we had several of those so called pressures and almost sacks that you talk about pretty frequently here that are probably sacks with about 29 other QBs.

Mahomes is elite.
We gave up 28 but the dee is very much improved as well.

Hope the dee continues to improve.
The Dline has been improving each week since the bye, i know the point totals may not show it but they were all over Mahomes..he just made some great plays... like Mahomes does... if they keep this up we have the core we have all been asking this FO to get for a long time.. now dont rest on it, build around it and see what happens.

What a pile of BS.

Think about this, add this to any D:

1. Top 3 DT
2. Top 5 LB
3. Top 5 CB
4. Quality slot CB
5. Solid MLB
6. Solid NT.

That's 6 new starters. 6. Over half the D has been replaced. But it's all about consistency and continuity. Eber, if you're going to say something this dumb, just STHU.

6 new players = continuity?
Flus didn't want to hurt the guys that they replaced feelings.

I think any reasonable person would agree that the defense is better. A month ago, the defense looked like they couldn't stop a high school team.

They look respectable, average, middle of the road, if you will. They at least look like they can generate pressure and stop the run.

Secondary is still suspect, so if the QB has time, they will eat them up, but they still look better overall.

Murray continues to play. Fire Eberturd. Thought he was supposed to be good at coaching LBs especially.

Cowboys DC Matt Eberflus on the last three games: “It’s been fun. The biggest enjoyment that I have as a coach is seeing the guys execute and them having fun doing it. That to me is the most fun you can have as a coach, and that’s why you do the job. You coach somebody, teach them, and they go out there and execute and they’re having fun doing it, that to me is exciting. That’s why I do this job.”

I wish there was a coach speak translator.
Eberflus: continuity and consistency
Translation: we got 6 healthy bodies in there.

Yep, exactly. Everybody aint Mahomes. Give him his due while also acknowleging our own defensive improvement.
My point as well.

There is no coach in history who could have coached the defense early this season.

Could be 3 first rounders now on the defensive line (Clark, Quinnen, Clowney) and the return of OV and another theoretical first round ( before injury) in Revel......but i could just be wrong about it.

The defensive roster from game 1 just ain't here anymore.....and thank God!

Eberflus is a good DC. Always has been a good coach. The talent on that defense before getting Williams, Clowney, Wilson, DO and Bland back was absolutely garbage. Now they have difference makers which makes everyone else better.

This is sadly pretty true....Granted part of that was the early turnover which gave KC a short field, but the defense has been so bad the last year plus that expectations have been lowered for this unit. LV is horrible. Philly they played a really good half of football and we are quick to forget about the other half. They're trending the right way, but this board is still one bad game away from having a 50+ page fire eberflus thread back at the top.
Who here said the defense was fixed? Please post the links.

Now the last time the Cowboys defense played the Lions they took something from it.... the question is.. is this defense ready to go to Detroit and TAKE IT BACK.

This defense needs to play like they have the past three weeks for the next five weeks, and then I will be sold on Eberflus.

Maybe the players just needed time to learn a third scheme in three years. Add that to the talent that arrived in November and the results speak for themselves.

So far, that is.
There is no DC that could have coached our Defense to success, with all of the injuries, trading Micah at the last minute for basically nothing this year, until trades were made, while installing a new system.

At one point, Kaiir Elam was one of our top two corners. That's on the front office and possibly Eberflus to an extent, but it shows how desperate we were. Now, maybe we'll get to have Bland, Revel, Diggs, Butler and Carson, all corners that have at least missed some time this season, with many of them missing half of it.
